Love is the most powerful source that there is on this planet. Depending upon the emotion that is in touch with the source largely depends upon what is felt. Love has an intense power, one that can integrate synthasize, vibrate, re-vitalize, sustain, create passion and sensation or it can destroy every living cell of a human being. Why? Because if the emotion relating to a negative experience of Love the body dies as it longs for what it once received when the electricity of life once flowed. We have to experience the ups and the downs of love, or do we? Is it just our perceptions of love? Love is only one powerful source of positive energy, but our life experiences place judgement and control on an emotion that we all deserve. Why do we torture ourselves and create stress in the association with this word?

Why are we taught in Religious constitutions that we must love everyone and if we dont we will go to hell? They teach us to love our neighbour yet then put restrictions on us as people. If you are gay, then this is seen as a crime against God. If you are black or a different colour then you are discriminated against. If you are poorer then you do not deserve what the world offers, if you are wealthy then you are seen as greedy. Hellooooo, there are lots of mixed messages here with the Church as an establishment committing the majority of the crimes against humanity as they are taking away our human rights.

Condoms and the Catholic Church, abortion and gay marraige mmmmm
In Iran gay men are hung as it is seen as a sin against God, yet can it be seen a crime against Love?

I feel that God , the word or the interpretation should be replaced with the word Love. Can being Gay be a crime against love, when love is an emotion that we are all here to experience? Can love discriminate against a colour? Can love tell us what is right and what is wrong?

I invite you to send in your pictures of LOVE so that this blog becomes a united source of Love for the world to share and grow. Please send in your comments and feelings.

We are one energy of Love striving forward for a future. The current establishment of evolution of power greed and control has shown us that this does not work. We the people in the world are the power that the Governments and Religious establishments need in which to survive. It is up to us to show the world and its people what we need and want in order for the world to change into the electricity of live and Love.

Metatrons Power Thought

Metatrons Power Thought
ArchAngel Metatron, 'He opens up our hearts so thatwe are more willing to receive God's guidance. He is also responsiblefor supervising the Akashic Records, which is a special archive whereall our thoughts and deeds are recorded.'

'Angel of Thought, when I feelstressed and overwhelmed from the daily routine of Life, I getdiscouraged and sometimes angry. When this happens, I find myselftaking these thoughts out on my family, friends and others who may comeacross my path. I desire to have my communication (in all forms) comethrough as positive, uplifting and completely filled with spiritualLoving actions. Help me to be a better person and to communicate in away that benefits everyone.'

Over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas I aim to highlight the essence of what Christmas is really about. I, myself have increasingly been disolusioned with the way in which Christmas has been orquistrated into society. The real reasons for celebrating Christmas are often forgotton, with more focus upon enforced spending and commercialism rather than a celebration of the birth of one of the greatest healers to walk the earth. I know I am not alone in this thought process as more and more people each year, have a quiet Christmas and try to avoid the time where pressure is on to 'enjoy yourself because it is Christmas'.

Recently I was inspired by a young woman who remarked that she mentioned to her parents that this year, she would rather go and help out at an orphanage or an old peoples home this Christmas. She commented that she would rather bring a smile to a persons face and be there for some one, rather than to sit around the table, with family just for the sake of being there because its Christmas.

Mainstream society appears to have a hard time accepting an individuals alternative view on wanting to be in a place where people require help and assistance rather than enjoying the spending spree into debt. I find that the mainstream society as a whole are losing touch of the essence of spirituality. I am not denying that there are plenty of 'People pleasers' out in society, but these people forget about themselves. We as a society need to find that equilibrium.

I find that many people are lost and are just wandering through life. Too many people deny the light for themselves. If we take our attention to the essence of what Christmas is about, it is not only, I feel to celebrate the birth of 'the son of God' but more about the birth of the self, the time where you celebrate, who you are as an individual, the time you celebrate the essence of who you are, and connect with the light that shines within you. Personally I feel that we are all connected and part of the whole. I also feel that 'GOD' resides within. Perhaps the emphasis of Christmas is about reclaiming that essence to assist humanity and those less fortunate than ourselves. There will always be someone less fortunate than the predicament you find yourself in. Do we ever give that a moments thought?

It is evident that the world is changing and our understanding and concept of how the world used to be and how it is now has drastically changed in the last couple of years. It is not only the 'global warming' affects on the earth, nor is it the finacial crash and recession. These are only in part a section of what is affecting the new Consciousness for mother earth. The Mayans have predicted the 'change' and the new world. This can only take affect if we are able to work through the obstacles we are currently confronted with. The lesson is to understand and not repeat the same cycle as before, thus creating a new understanding and bringing us back to the essence of what really matters.

Love Divine by Sri Chinmoy

Love Divine

by: Sri Chinmoy

I wish to give a short talk on love. As you all know, there is nothing on earth as important as love. In Heaven, too, there is nothing as important as love. My disciples and I are following a path. This path is called 'love, devotion and surrender.' Love is the root; love is the foundation of our path. We feel that God is dearest to us not because He is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent, but just because He is all Love.

To be loved is a good thing. To love others is a better thing. But to love God and man in God's own way is by far the best thing. When we are loved, our life becomes meaningful. When we love, our life becomes soulful. When we love God and man in God's own way, our life becomes fruitful. In ordinary human life we value love and treasure love precisely because we are afraid that the object of our love can be lost at any moment. In the spiritual life we value love because we feel that love is the only thing that can offer us abiding satisfaction. In the spiritual life the love that we experience, the love that we offer, is divine love. Human love is the song of possession. But before we possess others, we see to our utter sorrow that we ourselves are badly possessed. Divine love is the song of emancipation. When we try to emancipate others through divine love, we see that we can emancipate others only after we ourselves have been totally liberated.

Love is courage. Courage is self giving. Self giving is God building, and in God-building God manifestation takes place. God's total manifestation is today a dream. Tomorrow the dream will be transformed into hope, and the day after tomorrow this hope will be transformed into an inner assurance. When we get the inner assurance, our earth bound consciousness hears the message of the Heaven free consciousness. At that time the finite in us consciously, devotedly and soulfully surrenders to the Infinite and becomes inseparably one with the Infinite.

Love is the best form of prayer, love is the best form of worship. There is a striking difference between love and worship. We love because we feel the need of expansion, the need of oneness. When we love God, the lover and the Beloved eventually become one. The lover loses his individuality, his personality, his height, his ego centered 'I' and he and the divine Beloved become one and inseparable. But when we worship we quite often maintain our own individuality and personality. We feel that we are at the foot of the tree while our Saviour is at the top of the tree. Always there is a reverential awe. Because of this reverential awe, we find it difficult to merge totally into the consciousness of our Saviour. But the divine lover, because of his inner oneness, dives deep into the Consciousness sea of his Beloved and becomes the sea itself. Like a tiny drop, he enters into the mighty ocean and becomes the mighty ocean itself.

In the spiritual life the more we make progress, the more we feel the necessity of love. God has infinite Power, infinite Peace, infinite Light and infinite Bliss. He has everything in infinite measure, but we feel that even an iota of His Love can quench our lifelong thirst. He can and He will give us everything that He has and everything that He is, but we will not be satisfied unless and until He has given us His Love. Needless to say, His Love divine encompasses all His outer attributes: Peace, Light, Delight and so on. In this world everything may fail us; we may even fail ourselves. But the divine love within us can never fail us, for this love has a permanent home and Source. That Source is God the infinite Concern, God the infinite Compassion, God the infinite blessingful Pride in mankind. Love ultimately gives us transcendental happiness. This happiness is not a thing that we talk about or see around us, but it is something that we can experience in our day to day multifarious activities. We can grow into this inner happiness at God's choice Hour.

As seekers we have to be extremely cautious when we deal with divine love. Very often human love cleverly tries to play the role of divine love. How can we tell whether something is divine love or human love? We can easily know the moment we dare to examine ourselves. Is this love for the truth within us, is it for the light within us? If the answer is in the affirmative, then we can easily know that it is divine love. I wish to tell you an incident that took place in the life of the American President Abraham Lincoln. A certain official said to him that God would be on his side. Lincoln said that he was not concerned about that. His concern was that he would be on God's side. He was concerned only about his acceptance of God's Light. Whether or not God took his side was not the question. He said that God will always be on the right side and it was his bounden duty to be on God's side. Here the real seeker, the real lover in Lincoln spoke.

Through our prayer, meditation and dedication, we can also have God on our side. But this will not satisfy us. If we really love God, we shall offer our love, devotion, surrender, aspiration and dedication to God; at the same time, our fervent prayer and most soulful meditation will be to please God unconditionally in His own way-to take God's side. If we please God in one way or another, naturally He will please us: but our sincerity will one day loom large and we shall suffer miserably because we have not pleased God in His own way. We must not expect God to please us in our own way, although He can easily do so. If we want to have something, He can give it to us; but sooner or later that thing will not satisfy us. Our sincere heart will never be satisfied unless and until we have pleased God in His own way. But if He gives us what He had intended to give us, then the seeker in us is bound to be happy and this happiness will be everlasting.

We can please God in His own way only when we have discovered and developed within us an unconditional love for our Supreme Beloved. Our love for God is our inmost cry. His Love for us is His life transforming, life illumining, life fulfilling Smile. When we cry for Him, we offer Him our love; when He offers us His Satisfaction Smile, it is nothing else but His Love that is being expressed.

Love, devotion and surrender. We offer love to God just because we know there is nothing and there can be nothing, there is nobody and there can be nobody other than God who can rightfully claim our love. We offer our devotion to God because He is the only one who can utilise our devotion for a right purpose. We offer our dedicated surrender to Him not because we are His slaves, but because we feel that God and man are one. He is our most illumined part, while the part that we right now represent needs illumination. It is our inner obligation, our bounden duty to be totally illumined from the soles of our feet to the crown of our head. Within and without we must be surcharged with God's infinite Light. When we surrender to the Supreme, we must know that we are surrendering to our own highest part, which is fully illumined. When the lower part enters into the higher part, when the finite in us enters into the Infinite, at that time we become flooded with infinite Light, Peace and Bliss

Quotes from the Dalai Lama

Quotes on Compassion

" Each of us in our own way can try to spread compassion into people’s hearts. Western civilizations these days place great importance on filling the human “brain” with knowledge, but no one seems to care about filling the human “heart” with compassion. This is what the real role of religion is."

- Dalai Lama

" Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive."

- Dalai Lama

" Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them."

- Dalai Lama

" I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed."

Spiritual Masters

Spiritual Masters are those rare beings who have realised there oneness with the Supreme, - the highest transcendental Consciousness. Spiritual Masters have not only realised their true self but also work selflessly to inspire humanity to seek the divinity within themselves.

A real spiritual Master is able to expedite the progress of his/her disciples through their close connection to God and the grace of God.

Spiritual Masters have taught the timeless spiritual truths in a variety of ways, Their teachings reflecting the environment and period in which they live.

Great Spiritual Masters like Krishna, Buddha and Jesus Christ have led to the formation of religions dedicated to following the teachings of these avatars. Each spiritual master has offered their own unique path towards the highest Truth. However although the outer forms may differ the ultimate realisation is the same.

Ramana Maharshi was one of India's greatest Spiritual Teachers of the Twentieth Century. At an early age he had a profound experience in which he became acutely aware of the mortality of the body. This led on to a profound insight that He was not the Body, but spirit. After this experience he became absorbed in deep meditations, in which he began to experience his real self, which transcended ego. With a glimpse of this higher consciousness Ramana lost interest in worldly life and travelled to the holy Mountain of Arunachala where he spent many years in meditation and teachings seekers who were attracted by his divine personality and aura of peace.

Ramana Maharshi taught seekers to silence the mind and try and discover the source of their thoughts. He taught the goal was to try and reach beyond their ego bound state and answer the question “Who am I?” In the beginning this is a difficult task but eventually the power of the ego will be diminished by the power of the heart.

Osho, also known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, was a spiritual master who lived during the twentieth century.
He was also a man of extraordinary intelligence, erudition, charisma, and powers of communication.
Some people thought of him as a guru of hedonism, an impressario of spiritual Mardi Gras. Tens of thousands of seekers jetted across oceans to his ashrams and communes to participate in giddy, high-energy experiments in living and consciousness.
But he was also a professor of philosophy, a lover of literature, and the author of an extraordinary library of books that explain the Hindu and Buddhist scriptures in matter-of-fact, crystal-clear English.
In the 1980s, he and his followers built a 65,000-acre city from scratch in the Oregon wilderness. Some people called it an experiment to provoke God, and others called it a fascist concentration camp.
Controversy surrounded him; he was accused of crimes and eventually deported from the United States for violations of immigration law.
He has left us a great legacy: his books. We think they are the clearest maps of the roads to enlightenment that anybody drew during the twentieth century.

Mohandas K. Gandhi studied law in England, then spent 20 years defending the rights of immigrants in South Africa. In 1914 he returned to India and became the leader of the Indian National Congress. Gandhi urged non-violence and civil disobedience as a means to independence from Great Britain, with public acts of defiance that landed him in jail several times. In 1947 he participated in the postwar negotiations that led to Indian independence. He was shot to death by a Hindu fanatic in 1948.

Gandhi was given the prefix "Mahatma" which means Great Soul by his admirers. Gandhi-1-picHowever Gandhi himself was not too keen on the prefix. Gandhi was one of the leading Indian politicians of the Indian independence movement. However he was much more than a politician. He was a committed Vegetarian and was devoted to the principles of non-violence and pacifism. At the age of 36 Gandhi adopted the life of a brahmacharya —spiritual and practical purity—largely associated with celibacy. Also Gandhi placed great emphasis on his spiritual practises, prayer, meditation, fasting and observance of silence once a week. It is said his last words were "Hey Ram" - "O God"

Gandhi was also devoted to promoting the underlying harmony of the different religious traditions. Although brought up in the Vaishnava Hindu tradition Gandhi had tremendous respect for other spiritual teachers and religions such as Islam, Jainism and Christianity. Gandhi made great personal efforts to heal the rift between Hindu's and Muslims that occured in the period following independence. During the internal strife between Muslims and Hindus

Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in Skopje*, Macedonia, on August 26**, 1910. Her family was of Albanian descent. At the age of twelve, she felt strongly the call of God. She knew she had to be a missionary to spread the love of Christ. At the age of eighteen she left her parental home in Skopje and joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missions in India. After a few months' training in Dublin she was sent to India, where on May 24, 1931, she took her initial vows as a nun. From 1931 to 1948 Mother Teresa taught at St. Mary's High School in Calcutta, but the suffering and poverty she glimpsed outside the convent walls made such a deep impression on her that in 1948 she received permission from her superiors to leave the convent school and devote herself to working among the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta. Although she had no funds, she depended on Divine Providence, and started an open-air school for slum children. Soon she was joined by voluntary helpers, and financial support was also forthcoming. This made it possible for her to extend the scope of her work.

On October 7, 1950, Mother Teresa received permission from the Holy See to start her own order, "The Missionaries of Charity", whose primary task was to love and care for those persons nobody was prepared to look after. In 1965 the Society became an International Religious Family by a decree of Pope Paul VI.

Today the order comprises Active and Contemplative branches of Sisters and Brothers in many countries. In 1963 both the Contemplative branch of the Sisters and the Active branch of the Brothers was founded. In 1979 the Contemplative branch of the Brothers was added, and in 1984 the Priest branch was established.

The Society of Missionaries has spread all over the world, including the former Soviet Union and Eastern European countries. They provide effective help to the poorest of the poor in a number of countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and they undertake relief work in the wake of natural catastrophes such as floods, epidemics, and famine, and for refugees. The order also has houses in North America, Europe and Australia, where they take care of the shut-ins, alcoholics, homeless, and AIDS sufferers.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH)

Arabic calligraphy reading "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah". Muhammad, also Mohammed, Mohamet, and other variants was an Arab religious and political leader who propagated the religion of Islam. Muslims consider him the greatest prophet of God, and the last recipient of divine revelation. He is viewed not as the founder of a new religion, but as the last in a series of prophets, restoring the original monotheistic faith of Adam, Abraham, Jesus and others which had become corrupted. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had maintained a reputation as an honest and trustworthy member of the community, "al-Amin". For the last 23 years of his life, beginning at age 40, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reported receiving revelations from God. The content of these revelations, known as the Qur'an, was memorized and recorded by his followers.

During this time, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) preached to the people of Mecca, including his relatives and tribal associates, imploring them to abandon polytheism. Although some people converted to Islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his followers were subsequently persecuted by the leading Meccan authorities. Muslims believe that during his stay in Mecca, he was taken at night by Gabriel to Jerusalem, where he ascended to heaven, as elucidated in the Qur'an. After 13 years of preaching in Mecca, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Muslims performed the hijra (emigration) to the city of Medina. There, with the Medinan converts (Ansar) and the Meccan migrants (Muhajirun), Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) soon established political and religious authority. By 629, he was able to march unto his home town in the bloodless 'Conquest of Mecca'. And by the time of his death in 632, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had succeeded in bringing the Arabian peninsula under the banner of Islam. Despite his exalted staus in Muslim thought, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is insisted to have been no more than human.

SUNNAH

Sunnah literally means "trodden path" and it refers, in common usage, to the normative example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as preserved in traditions known as hadith ("reports") about his speech, his actions, his acquiescence to the words and actions of others, and his personal characteristics. By the time of the classical Muslim jurist, ash-Shafi'i (d. 820), the Sunnah represented an important facet in Islamic law, where any action described by this term would be highly recommended for the Muslim to perform. This was a notion supported by Qur'anic verses such as: "Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct)..." The Sunnah also became an key exponent in clarifying understanding of the Qur'an. As such, the authentic hadiths are considered by Muslims to be an authoritative source of revelation (second only to the Qur'an) by virtue of its representing divine guidance as implemented by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

ANGELS

The belief in angels is central to the religion of Islam, beginning with the belief that the Qur'an was dictated to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the chief of all angels, Gabriel(AS). Angels are thus the ministers of God, and some are the agents of revelation in Islam. According to Islamic belief, angels were created from light. According to the Qur'an, angels do not possess free will. They are completely devoted to the worship of God and carry out certain functions on His command, such as recording every human being's actions, placing a soul in a newborn child, maintaining certain environmental conditions of the planet (such as nurturing vegetation and distributing the rain) and taking the soul at the time of death. Angels are described as in the Qur'an as "messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs): He [God] adds to Creation as He pleases..." They can assume human form, but only in appearance. As such, angels do not eat, procreate or commit sin as humans do.

RESURRECTION AND JUDGEMENT

A fundamental tenet of Islam is belief in the "Day of Resurrection", yawm al-Qiyamah (also known as yawm ad-din - "Day of Judgement"; as-sa`a - "the Last Hour"). The trials and tribulations preceding and during Qiyamah are explained meticulously in both the Qur'an and the hadith, as well as in the commentaries of Islamic scholars such as al-Ghazali, Ibn Kathir, and al-Bukhari. Muslims believe that God will hold every human, Muslim and non-Muslim, accountable for his or her deeds at a preordained time unknown to man. The archangel Israfil, will sound a horn sending out a "blast of truth". Traditions say Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be the first to be brought back to life. Bodily resurrection is much insisted upon in the Qur'an, which challenges the pre-Islamic Arabian concept of death. Resurrection is followed by the gathering of mankind, culminating in their judging by God.

According to the Qur'an, sins that can consign someone to hell include lying, dishonesty, corruption, ignoring God or God's revelations, denying the resurrection, refusing to feed the poor, indulgence in opulence and ostentation, the economic exploitation of others, and social oppression. The punishment is in Qur'an contrasted not with release but with mercy (29:21, 2:284, 3:129, etc). Islam views paradise as a place of joy and bliss. Despite the graphical descriptions of the physical pleasures, there are clear references to a greater joy that exceeds the pleasures of flesh: The acceptance from God, or good pleasure of God (ridwan) (see 9:72). Islam also has a strong mystical tradition which places these heavenly delights in the context of the ecstatic awareness of God.

DIVINE DECREE

Another fundamental tenet in Islam is the belief in divine preordainment (al-qadaa wa'l-qadr ), meaning that God has full knowledge and decree over all that occurs, as elaborated in Qur'anic verses such as "Say: 'Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector'...." Muslims believe that nothing in the world can happen, good or evil, except that it has been preordained and permitted by God. Man possesses free will in the sense that he has the faculty to choose between right and wrong, and thus retains responsibility over his actions. Muslims also believe that although God has decreed all things, the evil and calamities that are decreed are done so as a trial, or may possess a later benefit not yet apparent due to mankind's lack of comprehension, and as such does not suggest absence of God's indignation against evil and disbelief.[58][59] According to Islamic tradition, all that has been decreed is written in "al-Lawh al-Mahfuz", the "Preserved Tablet.

FIVE PILLERS OF ISLAM

The Five Pillars of Islam is the term given to what are understood among many Muslims to be the five core aspects of Islam.

SHAHADAH

Flag of early Muslims used on the battlefield (named Al-Raya), with the Shahadah in white script.The basic creed or tenet of Islam is found in the shahadatan ("twin testimonies"): 'ašhadu 'al-la ilaha illa-llahu wa 'ašhadu 'anna muhammadan rasulu-llah; "I testify that there is none worthy of worship except God and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of God." As the most important pillar, this testament can be considered a foundation for all other beliefs and practices in Islam.

Ideally, it is the first words a new-born will hear, and children are taught to recite and understand the shahadah as soon as they are able to understand them. Muslims must repeat the shahadah in prayer, and non-Muslims must use the creed to formally convert to Islam.

SALAH (PRAY)

The second pillar of Islam is salah, the requirement to pray five times a day at fixed times. Each salah is performed facing towards the Kaaba in Mecca. In the very early days of Islam, when it was based primarily in Mecca, Muslims offered salah facing towards Jerusalem, but then God revealed a verse of the Qu'ran to Muhammad, telling the Muslims to pray facing Mecca from then on. Muslims performing salah (prayer). Salah is intended to focus the mind on God; it is a personal communication with God, expressing gratitude and worship. According to the Qur'an (29:40) the benefit of prayer "restrains [one] from shameful and evil deeds".

Salah is compulsory but there are flexibilities under certain circumstances. For example in the case of sickness or lack of space, a worshipper can offer salah while sitting, or even lying, and the prayer can be shortened when travelling. The salah must be performed in the Arabic language to the best of each worshipper's ability (although any du'a, or extra prayers said afterwards need not be in Arabic), and the lines are to be recited by heart, although beginners may use written aids. The worshipper's body and clothing, as well as the place of prayer, must be cleansed. All prayers should be conducted within the prescribed time period or waqt (Arabic for 'time') and with the appropriate number of units (raka'ah). While the prayers may be made at any point within the waqt, it is considered best to begin them as soon as possible after the call to prayer is heard.

ZAKAT

Zakat, or alms-giving, is giving charity to the poor and needy by able Muslims, based on the wealth that one has accumulated. It is a personal responsibility intended to ease economic hardship for others and eliminate inequality. It consists spending a fixed portion of one's wealth for the poor or needy, including people whose hearts need to be reconciled, slaves, those in debt, and travelers.

A Muslim may also donate an additional amount as an act of voluntary charity, known as sadaqah, in order to achieve additional divine reward. There are two main types of zakat: zakat on traffic, which is a per head payment equivalent to cost of around 2.25 kilograms of the main food of the region paid during the month of Ramadan by the head of a family for himself and his dependents, and zakât on wealth, which covers money made in business, savings, income, crops, livestock, gold, minerals, hidden treasures unearthed, and so on.[citation needed] The payment of zakât is an obligation for all Muslims. In current usage it is interpreted as a 2.5% levy on most valuables and savings held for a full lunar year, if the total value is more than a basic minimum known as nisab (3 ounces or 87.48 g of gold). At present (as of 16 October 2006), nisab is approximately US $1,750 or an equivalent amount in any other currency.

SAWM (Fasting)

Sawm, or fasting, is an obligatory act during the month of Ramadan, as enjoined in the Qur'an: O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint — Qur'an 2:183 Muslims traditionally break their fasts in Ramadan with dates, as was the practice (Sunnah) of Muhammad.Muslims must abstain from food, drink, and sexual intercourse from dawn to dusk during this month, and are to be especially mindful of other sins. The fast is meant to allow Muslims to seek nearness to God as well as remind them of the needy. During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam by refraining from violence, anger, envy, greed, lust, harsh language, gossip, and to try to get along with each other better than normal. All obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided. The fast is an exacting act of deeply personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to God. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities and its purpose being to cleanse your inner soul, and free it of harm.

Fasting during Ramadan is not obligatory for several groups for whom it would be excessively problematic. Children before the onset of puberty are not required to fast, though some do. Also some small children fast for half a day instead of a whole day so they get used to fasting. However, if puberty is delayed, fasting becomes obligatory for males and females after a certain age. According to Qur'an, if fasting would be dangerous to people's health, such as to people with an illness or medical condition, or elderly people, they are excused. Diabetics and nursing or pregnant women are usually not expected to fast. According to hadith, observing the Ramadan fast is not allowed for menstruating women. Other individuals for whom it is usually considered acceptable not to fast are those in battle, and travelers who intended to spend fewer than five days away from home. If one's condition preventing fasting is only temporary, one is required to make up for the days missed after the month of Ramadan is over and before the next Ramadan arrives. If one's condition is permanent or present for an extended amount of time, one may make up for the fast by feeding a needy person for every day missed.

HAJJ

The Hajj to the Kaaba in Mecca is an important practice for Muslims to perform. The Hajj is a pilgrimage that occurs during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah in the city of Mecca. Every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so is obliged to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in his or her lifetime. When the pilgrim is around ten kilometers from Mecca he wears ihram consisting of two white sheets. Some of the ritual of Hajj are walking seven times around the Kaaba, touching the Black Stone, running seven times between Mount Safa and Mount Marwah, visiting holy places and sacrificing an animal in commemoration of Ibrahim's sacrifice.

Furthermore, it includes throwing seven stones at each of the three pillars symbolizing devil at Mina and cutting (some or all) head’s hairs. The pilgrim, or the hajji, is honored in his or her community. For some, this is an incentive to perform the Hajj. Islamic teachers say that the Hajj should be an expression of devotion to God, not a means to gain social standing. The believer should be self-aware and examine his or her intentions in performing the pilgrimage. This should lead to constant striving for self-improvement.

Hunger v Greed

Knowing the way is not enough.
The path must be traversed to reach the destination.
That journey is service to society.
-Sai Baba-

We are learning a rich lesson in wealth. There appears to be too much emphasis upon money. We are now all experiencing the effects of the recession, yet as people focus upon what they have not got, they are beginning to believe that they cant have any more. There is also much more emphasis upon wanting more money because one has no longer got what one is used to. Various negative belief patterns are kicking into play.

We have watched the global stock markets crash, investors losing out on their saved shares.
What is this teaching us as a human race?
We live in a western world where much of the time we wear blinkers to shield us from what is really taking affect within the world. There is too much emphasis upon money and the desire to have more.
We have the lottery. We are lucky enough to have a couple of euros spare to gamble, when others in the world live in hope that one day they may have that amount to spend on a meal for the family.

The secret and the law of attraction teaches us that what we give out, we receive.
Is this just a western belief system that keeps us in the cycle of monetry goals?
Perhaps each day the people in Africa and other poor countries in the world are praying, hoping and sending out love and positive energy in that someone somewhere will hear their cry for help.
Some would say that Karma comes into play with the poor of this world, yet if you look into the childs eyes. Look deep within her soul. Read the words in her eyes. She acts as a teacher to assist in helping you to help others. Karma teaches us that what we give out , we shall receive. Giving ut your love, assistance, or even the equivalence of 10 euros a year, you could save her and other peoples lives.
What will it give you in return?
Perhaps peace of mind, knowing that you stopped, listened and took notice of someone , somewhere in need. It is true that we can not help everyone, yet to create an equilibrium a balance within the world, we have to start somewhere.

This week just become aware of the waste that you leave on your plate because you are too full, or you ordered the wrong meal or didnt like it. Become aware of the things that you have in your cupboards that you dont use, but keep because you dont want to let it go. Become aware of the items that you through out, because you no longer need them. Think next time. There are charities crying out for unwanted items.

Do you have a heart, do you have a need to care?

One of the challenges we Africans face is the restoration of family values. A mother cannot have peace and respect if she is not able to maintain her own family. And a father, who is traditionally seen as the provider for the household, will not feel worthy to live in his community if he reaches the point where he cannot provide food for his children. Taking away the work of the father or mother destroys the family and thus destroys the sacredness of life in Africa. Without a family, Africans are lost. They lose their roots and their dignity.

Because of unemployment, we are facing a new and shameful type of slavery, which is developing across the continent of Africa. Children are sent out by their parents to look for income to feed their families. Children are being sold. Children are being given as down payments for family debt payment. Child trafficking has developed in Western Africa and parts of Central Africa. They are transported out of their countries and sold as slaves in other countries, where they labor as domestic workers, farmers, peddlers, or prostitutes.

Child slavery is on the increase on the continent of Africa.

Three fourths of poor people in Western and Middle Africa — an estimated 90 million people — live in rural areas and depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. One in five lives in a country affected by warfare. In conflict-torn countries such as Angola, Burundi, Mozambique and Uganda, the capacity of rural people to make a livelihood has been dramatically curtailed by warfare, and per capita food production has plummeted.

Land degradation, a consequence of extensive agriculture, deforestation and overgrazing, has reached alarming levels and further threatens livelihoods. The poorest people live in isolated zones, deprived of the social safety nets and poverty reduction programmes available in semi-urban and urban areas.

Northern Africa
As elsewhere on the continent, poverty in Northern Africa is concentrated in rural areas. The percentage of rural poor people living below the national poverty line varies dramatically, from 6 per cent in Tunisia to 90 per cent in Somalia and 87 per cent in the Sudan. Rural poor people constitute about one third of Tunisia’s poor population and about three fourths of Somalia’s poor. Beginning in the late 1980s, countries such as Egypt and Tunisia undertook structural adjustments with the aim of reducing poverty.

Rural poverty in the region has its roots in limited availability of good arable land and water, and the impact of droughts and floods. Political conflict has disrupted agriculture and aggravated poverty in countries such as Somalia and the Sudan. Among the obstacles to reducing rural poverty in Northern Africa are poor transport and social infrastructure, high rates of illiteracy (especially among women), weak local institutions, poor integration with the national economy, and the migration of rural youth to urban areas.

In Northern African countries in general, rural poor people have very little political influence. This is especially true of women. The rural population is poorly organized and often lives in isolated zones, beyond the reach of social safety nets and poverty programmes. Government policies and investments in the region tend to favour urban over rural areas.

Rumi-The mystical poet

Jalalud'din Rumi is one of the world’s most revered mystical poets. During his lifetime he produced a prolific range of inspiring and devotional poetry which encapsulates the sufi's experience of union with the divine. These timeless classics have enjoyed a renaissance in recent years, as Rumi has become one of our most popular poets. Although Rumi was a Sufi and a great scholar of the Qu’ran his appeal reaches across religious and social divisions. Even during his lifetime he was noted for his cosmopolitan outlook. His funeral, which lasted 40 days, was attended by Muslims, Jews, Persians, Christians and Greeks.

Rumi was born in 1207, in what is now know as Afghanistan. It was a period of remarkable social and political turbulence. The 13th Century was the era of the crusades; also the area where Rumi lived was under constant threat of Mongol invasion. The great upheavals Rumi faced during his life is said to have influenced much of his poetry.

THE PROGRESS OF MAN - Rumi

First he appeared in the realm inanimate;
Thence came into the world of plants and lived
The plant-life many a year, nor called to mind
What he had been; then took the onward way
To animal existence, and once more
Remembers naught of what life vegetive,
Save when he feels himself moved with desire
Towards it in the season of sweet flowers,
As babes that seek the breast and know not why.
Again the wise Creator whom thou knowest
Uplifted him from animality
To Man's estate; and so from realm to realm
Advancing, he became intelligent,
Cunning and keen of wit, as he is now.
No memory of his past abides with him,
And from his present soul he shall be changes.
Though he is fallen asleep, God will not leave him
In this forgetfulness. Awakened, he
Will laugh to think what troublous dreams he had.
And wonder how his happy state of being
He could forget, and not perceive that all
Those pains and sorrows were the effect of sleep
And guile and vain illusion. So this world
Seems lasting, though 'tis but the sleepers' dream;
Who, when the appointed Day shall dawn, escapes
From dark imaginings that haunted him,
And turns with laughter on his phantom griefs
When he beholds his everlasting home.

Paramahansa Yogananda

"Affirm divine calmness and peace, and send out only thoughts of love and goodwill if you want to live in peace and harmony. Never get angry, for anger poisons your system. Try to understand people who cross you, and whenever anybody tries to inflame you, mentally say: “I am too comfortable to be angry. I don’t want to be sick with anger.”

- Paramahansa Yogananda,

Quotes from Inner peace

In September 1893, a 17-year-old American called E. E Dickinson approached Swami Vivekananda when the World Parliament of Religions was in session in Chicago, hoping that the learned monk would offer to be his teacher. Vivekananda, reading the teenager’s thoughts, gently told him that he could not be his guru but he would certainly have a guru, whom he would meet later in his life and who would present him with a silver cup.

When Vivekananda made this prophecy, Paramahansa Yogananda — who took to the West the ancient science of kriya yoga for the physical, mental and spiritual uplift of society and who was to bestow the silver cup to his disciple Dickinson 43 years later on December 25, 1936 — was about nine months old.

Author of the world-famous classic Autobiography of a Yogi and founder of the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India and the Self-Realization Fellowship, Paramahansa Yogananda was born on January 5, 1893, in Gorakhpur in a Bengali family. His father, Bhagabati Charan Ghosh, a railway official, and mother Gyana Prabha were also both spiritually advanced and disciples of Lahiri Mahasaya, a spiritual master from Banaras and revivalist of the lost kriya art. Lahiri Mahasaya was the chief 19th-century disciple of Mahavatar Babaji, who as mentioned in Autobiography of a Yogi "has retained his physical form for centuries, perhaps for millenniums." The kriya yoga that he taught Lahiri Mahasaya "is a revival of the same science that Krishna gave millenniums ago to Arjuna; and that was later known to Patanjali and Christ, and to St John, St Paul and other disciples."

Even as a young boy, Mukunda (childhood name of Yogananda) was much inclined towards God. He once fled from home to go to the Himalayas to meditate but was intercepted, brought back and made to complete his studies. His search for self-realisation, led him to his guru Swami Sri Yukteswar, also a disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya, who persuaded and convinced him that he must do his graduation as he was destined to go to the West to spread the science of kriya yoga.

In 1915, a few weeks after Mukunda completed his BA degree from Calcutta University, he was initiated into the swami order by his guru Yukteswarji, from whom he had received rigorous training at his ashram in Serampore. It was at this ceremony that Mukunda Lal Ghosh was given the privilege of choosing his new name Yogananda, which meant bliss (ananda) through divine union (yoga).

Since his guru now wanted him to serve humanity at large, Yogananda began his organisational work with the founding of the Yogoda Satsanga Society (YSS) of India in 1917. He set up an ashram and Yogoda Satsanga Vidalaya in Ranchi. In 1920, he began his mission in the West when he was invited to serve as India’s delegate to an International Congress of Religious Liberals in Boston. His speech in Boston on the science of religion was not only well received but marked the beginning of a series of lectures and talks he held in all important cities of the US for the next few years. In 1925, Yogananda established the international headquarters of the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) in Los Angeles for worldwide dissemination of his teachings and to maintain their purity for future generations.

In 1935, when Yogananda returned to India, his guru bestowed on him the highest spiritual title of Paramahansa. Mahatma Gandhi invited him to his ashram at Wardha. Here on Gandhiji’s request, Yogananda initiated him into kriya yoga. In 1936, he returned to the US, and devoted the rest of his life to his organisation and writings. His works include Autobiography of a Yogi, Man’s Eternal Quest, The Divine Romance, The Science of Religion, Whispers from Eternity, Scientific Healing Affirmations, How You Can Talk With God, The Law of Success and Metaphysical Meditations. God Talks with Arjuna : The Bhagavad Gita, a new translation and commentary of the immortal dialogue between the soul and the Spirit by Yogananda, was published in 1995. Besides these writings, the devotees are offered 182 SRF lessons that are sent to them over a period of five years. These offer teachings on leading a balanced life, energisation exercises and scientific techniques of meditation. Besides this, there are 10 lessons on kriya yoga which a student can acquire after fulfilling certain conditions.

Kriya yoga — which stands for the union (yoga) with the Infinite through a certain action (kriya) — is a technique which, according to Yogananda, if faithfully practised can free one from "karma or the lawful chain of cause-effect equilibriums." In Autobiography of a Yogi, he states: "Kriya yoga is a simple, psychophysiological method by which human blood is decarbonated and recharged with oxygen. The atoms of this extra oxygen are transmuted into life current to rejuvenate the brain and spinal centres. By stopping the accumulation of venous blood, the yogi is able to lessen or prevent the decay of tissues. The advanced yogi transmutes his cells into energy. Elijah, Jesus, Kabir, and other prophets were pastmasters in the use of kriya or a similar technique, by which they caused their bodies to materialise and dematerialise at will."

Yogananda, a kriya yogi in life and death, entered mahasamadhi in Los Angeles on March 7, 1952, after concluding his speech at a banquet held in honour of Binay R. Sen, Ambassador of India to the US. He died, as he had prophesied he would to his disciples, with his boots on and talking about India. He demonstrated the value of yoga not only in life but also after death, for there were no signs of decay in his body even weeks after his death. The Los Angeles mortuary directory had noted: "`85No physical disintegration was visible in his body even twenty days after death`85.The state of perfect preservation of a body is, so far as we know from mortuary annals, an unparalleled one`85."

On the 25th anniversary of the mahasamadhi of Yogananda, the Indian Government issued a commemorative stamp in honour of this great saint of India. The tribute to him on the descriptive leaflet distributed with the first-day covers stated: "`85He had but one goal: God-realisation, and one programme: to unite East and West by spiritual understanding`85."

The spiritual and humanitarian work begun by Yogananda at present continues under the direction of his disciple Sri Sri Daya Mata. The YSS/ SRF oversee the various ashrams, temples, kendras, medical centres and educational institutes across six continents under their care. The janmotsav celebrations of Yogananda, which are held every year in Ranchi by the YSS, are for the first time being held at the Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra, Sector 28-D, Chandigarh, from January 1 to 6. Talks and lectures on Yogananda’s teachings, satsangs, retreats and kriya diksha ceremony are being included in the sacred festivity.

Consciousness Expansion

Quotes from Sai Baba

Start the Day with Love;
Spend the Day with Love;
Fill the Day with Love;
End the Day with Love;
This is the way to God.

Before you speak,
Think - Is it necessary?
Is it true?
Is it kind?
Will it hurt anyone?
Will it improve on the silence?

I - Want - Peace
"I" is ego.
"Want" is desire.
Remove ego and desire...
and you have PEACE.

Love as Thought is Truth.
Love as Action is Right Conduct.
Love as Understanding is Peace.
Love as Feeling is Non-violence.

Reach the point where churches, temples, mosques do not matter,
where all roads end, from where all roads run.

Honor all religions.
Each is a pathway to God.

I have come to light the lamp of love in your hearts,
to see that it shines day by day with added luster.

Your heart must be transparent, like glass,
with spiritual light within illuminating the whole world.

I shall be with you, where ever you are, guarding you and guiding you.
March on, have no fear.

Duty is God; Work is worship.
Even the tiniest work is a flower placed at the Feet of God.

Cultivate a nearness with Me in the heart and it will be rewarded.
Then you too will acquire a fraction of that Supreme Love.

Duty without love is deplorable.
Duty with love is desirable.
Love without duty is Divine.

Peace can only be won the hard way,
by eliminating violence and greed from the hearts of individual.

The secret of happiness is not doing what one likes to do
but in liking what one has to do.

The end of wisdom is freedom.
The end of culture is perfection.
The end of knowledge is love.
The end of education is character.

First you must grapple with the fact that duty is God and start doing your duty.

I have come not to disturb or destroy any faith, but to confirm each in his own faith
- so that Christian becomes a better Christian,
the Muslim, a better Muslim,
and the Hindu, a better Hindu.

Transmuting "man" into "God" and experiencing that Ananda or Bliss
is the one and only achievement for which life is to be devoted.

The minimum qualifications for Grace is surrender of ego.

The treasure that is precious is the quality of even mindedness in all situations.

The joy of being the master of senses is far greater than being their slave.

Your progress is reflected back as Grace,
your decline is reflected back as its absence.
The mirror just reflects.
It has no partiality or prejudice.

Sathya (Truth) is what I teach;
Dharma (Right Behaviour) is the way I live;
Shanti (Peace) is the mark of My personality;
Prema (Pure Love) is my very Nature.

Peace is a shoreless ocean - it is the light that illuminates the world.

Virtue is the sign of the educated person.
This is what makes education worthwhile.

God can be felt and experienced only in the deepest depths of silence.

Education must remove hatred between the pilgrims on the various roads to God.
There is only one God, one Goal, one Law,
one Truth, one Religion and one Reason.

To help the helpless is the only way to please, follow and reach Him.

Mind, word and act; all three must be filled with the belief that all is His play;
that is the genuine path.

You are in the Light, then the Light is in you, You are the Light.

Desire is storm, greed is whirlpool, pride is precipice,
attachment is avalanche, ego is volcano.
Discard desire and you are liberated.

Devotion has to be unintermittent, uninterrupted,
like the flow of oil from one vessel to another.

Human society minus God is equal to a forest of brutes.

Bear all and do nothing;
Hear all and say nothing;
Give all and take nothing;
Serve all and be nothing.

Man minus immorality is Immortality.

God is for those who are not for themselves.

So long as the sugar is on the tongue,
you feel the sweetness in taste.
Similarly, so long as the heart has love, peace and devotion,
you feel the bliss.

If you will not rise above the things of the world, they will rise above you.

Praying is your task;
what happens to the prayer is dependent on the Grace of God.

Seek out your faults and other's merits.
Seeking other's faults is dire sin.

Your duty is to pray for the welfare of the world
and to work for it as far as it lies in your power.

Earning money cannot be the purpose of education.
Acquiring good qualities can be the only purpose of education.

True devotion must not get dispirited; nor elated or satisfied with lesser gains;
it must fight against failure, loss, calumny, calamity, ridicule
and against egoism and pride, impatience and cowardice.

Follow the Master;
Face the devil;
Fight to the end;
Finish the game.

If animal feelings are washed out, Divine feelings begin to overflow instead.

A man who has no love in him is as barren as a cloud with no moisture,
a tree with no fruits or a cow yielding no milk;
he is ever far from God and can never earn His Grace.

Life is a bridge over the sea of changes.
Do not build a house on it.

In the innermost recess of your heart
there is a reservoir of peace
where you must take refuge.

Employ yourself usefully. Be like a trustee, holding on trust, on behalf of God,
for the purpose which He likes and approves.

Hear good things, see good, do good, think good,
then you get the Grace of God,
as all the evil tendencies will be uprooted.

All are expressions of the same God,
as bulbs lit by the same current through manifold colours and wattage.

Have faith in His Grace and lead a virtuous life,
a life devoted to the service of the weak;
a life spent in the thought about the might and glory of God.

The refinement of an individual is measured by the yard stick of sense control.

Prayer must emanate from the heart, where God resides,
and not from the head where doctrines and doubts clash.

You have come from God, you are a spark of His Glory;
you are a wave of that Ocean of Bliss;
you will get peace only when you again merge in Him.

See God in every one you meet; see God in every thing you handle.
Live together, revere each other,
let not the seeds of envy and hate grow and choke the clear stream of Love.

Make your life a rose, that speaks silently in the language of fragrance.

Be in the world, but let not the world be in you.

Be like the lions in the spiritual field,
rule over the forest of the senses and roam fearlessly with full faith in victory.

The heart with compassion is the temple of God.

Start early, Drive slowly, Arrive safely.

Watch your Words, Action, Thoughts, Character and Heart.

Education softens the heart.
If the heart is hard, one cannot claim to be educated.

Faith in ourselves and faith in God:
this is the secret of Greatness, for God is Love.

Good ideas, good conduct and adherence to Truth should result from our education.
Only those who acquire these qualities can be called truly educated.

Devotion to the Divine will give you Bliss, Prosperity and Peace.
It cannot inflict pain, perturbation or personal anxiety.
It fosters love and brings all together as one band of brothers.

Every action of yours at the present time is bound to have
a reaction, resound and reflection in the future.

Doing one's duty, however small, in an unattached manner
gives rise to the awakening of self awareness.

Bend the body, mend the senses and end the mind
- this is the way to Immortality.

Put all your faith in Me.
I shall guide you and guard you.

Try within your means to satisfy the needs of the poor.

If you place complete faith in the Lord at all times, you will receive His Grace.
Grace takes away the pain of Karma.
The Lord can save man completely from Karma.

God has no preferences and prejudices;
His is but reaction, reflection and resound.

Where there is Faith, there is Love;
Where there is Love, there is Peace;
Where there is Peace, there is Truth;
Where there is Truth, there is God;
Where there is God, there is Bliss.

Life is Love, enjoy it;
Life is Challenge, meet it;
Life is a Song, sing it;
Life is a Dream, realize it;
Life is a Game, play it;
Life is a Goal, achieve it.

Ego lives by getting and forgetting;
Love lives by giving and forgiving;
Love is expansion; Self is contraction;
Self is lovelessness; Love is selflessness.

There is only one religion, the religion of Love;
There is only one language, the language of the Heart;
There is only one caste, the caste of Humanity;
There is only one law, the law of Karma;
There is only one God, He is Omnipresent.

Haste makes waste;
Waste makes worry;
So do not be in a hurry.

You are not one person, but three:
The one you think you are;
The one others think you are;
The one you really are.

Money comes and goes; morality comes and grows.

Nations are many, but Earth is one;
Beings are many, but Breath is one;
Stars are many, but Sky is one;
Oceans are many, but Water is one;
Religions are many, but God is one;
Jewels are many, but Gold is one;
Appearances are many, but Reality is One.

Come just one step forward,
I shall take a hundred towards you.
Shed one tear,
I shall wipe a hundred from your eyes.

The proof of rain is in the wetness of the ground;
the proof of devotion is in the peace the aspirant has attained.

Every experience is a lesson, every loss is a gain.

You should completely forget the help rendered by you to others
and the harm done to you by others.

If wealth is lost, nothing is lost.
If health is lost, something is lost.
If character is lost, all is lost.

The body has to be utilized for service to others.
More bliss can be got from serving others than from merely serving oneself.

You should consider every individual as God.
This is true worship.

You are not doing service for others.
You are doing it always for yourselves, to the God in you,
the God who is equally present in others.

If it is good and will harm no one, go ahead.
If it is not good, put it aside.
If not sure, do nothing until sure.

What is needed today is that we should lead a life of good quality.
The fostering of sterling character and good conduct is the need of the world.
Once we have greater numbers of such people of good quality,
the country and the world will become prosperous and peaceful.

You must act ever in the consciousness of your divinity
and recognize in each being, a brother, a child of God.
The whole world is one family.

The only permanent change is slow, steady change.

If God you think, God you are.
If Dust you think, dust you are.
As you think, so you become.
Think God, be God.

Those who seek to acquire steadiness of faith
must first acquire the strength to bear grief and pain, insult and injury.
The succession of joy and grief must help confirm the faith and make it immovable.
That alone can evidence true devotion.

Failures are stepping stones to success.

Individual spiritual practice is the negative pole and service is the positive pole.
The conjunction of both poles can alone bring success.
The mind carries the divine principle (the light of love)
and conveys it to all who contact it.

We can be successful leaders only if we are disciplined followers,
who do not issue commands to others
but rather set an example of service in our actions.

If you have the inclination to do good work,
God will give you the time to do good things.

Man falsely imagines "I am doing this", "I am planning this".
It is the supreme, all pervasive consciousness
that motivates, unfolds the skills and operates the intellect.

Let God work through you and there will be no more duty.
Let God shine forth. Let God show Himself.
Live God, Eat God. Drink God. Breath God.
Realize the Truth and the other things will take care of themselves.

Treat all as your own self.
Do not have a double standard.

What you would desire others to do for you, you should do for others.
You should respect others as you want to be respected by them.

Love all men without distinction.
Know that mankind is a single community.

Is the intention pure, selfless, born out of love?
Is it based on truth? Does it result in peace?
If so, it is a right action.

True humanness consists of a continuous series of tiny acts
executed with absolute sincerity and largeness of heart.

The quality of one's feelings determines one's future.

Think before speaking.
Think before acting.
Then go ahead
If you feel good about it.

See good
Hear good
Speak good
Do good
Be good

If you strive to find your Self by using your mind,
you will strive and strive in vain,
because the mind cannot give you the Truth.
You ARE that Self. All else is illusion of the mind's creation.

Every being in the universe has the potentiality of transcending the senses.
Even the little worm will one day transcend the senses and reach God.
No life will be a failure. There is no such thing as failure in the universe.

More than listening to a hundred lectures or delivering them to others,
offering one act as genuine service attracts the Grace of God.

We should not aspire for acclaim and praise from those around us,
but do service only to secure the Grace of God
and not for any other reward from any one.

Bury bad thoughts under good ones.
Then the bad ones will just fade away and be forgotten.

Living is not enough; it has no value by itself.
It is the motives, the feelings, the thoughts, the attitudes
that prompt the day to day life that matters.

Secure spiritual bliss first and then try to convey it to those who thirst.
When the tank is dry, how can the taps give water?

Always try to put yourself in the position of the other
and judge your action against the background.
Then you will not be wrong.

Make the mind, the voice and the actions agree in harmony.
That is the right way of life.

Impurity is a mere superimposition
under which the real nature of man has been hidden.

Where divinity is sought after, one ought always to behave in the spirit of Love,
devoid of the slightest trace of hate, envy and anger.
When one cultivates the inner look,
one attains the conviction of the basic equality of all.

What is heard has to be pondered over.
What is pondered over has to be put into practice.
It is only when all three are accomplished
that the realization of Bliss can be attained.

The secret of perfect health lies in keeping the mind always cheerful
- never worried, never hurried, never borne down by any fear, thought or anxiety.

The pure heart is the best mirror for the reflection of Truth.
So all these disciplines are for the purification of the heart.
As soon as it is pure, all truths flash upon it in a minute.

O Lord, take my love and let it flow in fullness of devotion to Thee.
O Lord, take my hands and let them work incessantly for Thee.
O Lord, take my soul and let it be merged in oneness with Thee.
O Lord, take my mind and thoughts and let them be in tune with Thee.
O Lord, take my everything and let me be an instrument for thy work.

Religion is three-fourths character.
Only those who preserve character can be pronounced truly religious.

Desire destroys devotion, anger destroys wisdom, greed destroys work
- hence these bad qualities must be sacrificed.
With good and sweet words, keeping desires under check and control (for ultimate removal), one should start on the path of sacrifice.

Man derives all the joy and peace that he needs from within himself
and not from sources outside himself.
So the best spiritual discipline is:
strengthen the inward vision.

Anything that helps you maintain unruffled equanimity is right action.

True love expands the self;
attachment contracts it.

Moderation in temper is virtue.
Moderation in principle is a vice.

The harder the circumstances, the more trying the environment,
the stronger are those who come out of those circumstances.

That which happens physically on the outside in terms of actions
is not of major importance.
What is important is that which comes from inside.

This body is the residence of God.
The food you take is the offering you make to him.
Your act of bathing is the ceremonial bathing of Him who is in You.
The ground you walk on is His domain.
The joy you gain is His gift.
The grief you experience is His lesson.
Remember Him ever, in sun and rain, day and night, asleep and awake.

Offer service and receive love.
This is the recipe for experiencing Divinity.
Our love should not be confined to our kith and kin.
It must extend beyond the family to society as a whole,
then to the nation at large and finally embrace the whole world.

Whatever books you may read,
you cannot realize the Divine merely by intellectual effort.
One must put it into practice.
That sense of Oneness can only be promoted
by the practice of love and not by any other means.

It is not what you have achieved that is important.
It is the broadness of heart that has motivated you to do work that counts.
Being broad minded with a selfless attitude, humility and obedience,
you should try to share the difficulties of others around you.
It is the purity of heart that is more important than the magnitude of the work itself.

Our relationships are heart to heart relationships.
Ours is a business of love, not a business of money or materials.

For the progress of humanity, work alone is not adequate,
but the work should be associated with
love, compassion, right conduct, truthfulness and sympathy.
Without the above qualities, selfless service cannot be performed.

God will not ask you when and where you did service?
He will ask, with what motive did you do it?
What was the intention that prompted you?
You may weigh the service and boast of its quantity.
But God seeks quality
- the quality of heart, the purity of mind, the holiness of motive.

Living with God is education
Living for God is Service
Living in God is Realization

Unity is Divinity.
Purity is Enlightenment.

Reform the body, reconstruct the mind, regulate the way of living,
then, the country will become automatically strong and prosperous.

The first step in the Sadhana (Spiritual Progress) is the cleansing of the speech.
Talk sweet without anger.
Do not boast of your scholarship or attainments.
Be humble, eager to serve; conserve your speech.
Practice silence.
That will save you from squabbles, frittering thoughts and faction.

Spend a few minutes every morning and evening
in the Silence of your own shrine or home;
spend them with the highest of all the Powers that you know of.
Be in His Elevating and Inspiring company;
worship Him mentally;
offer unto Him all the work you do;
you will come out of the silence nobler and more heroic than when you went in.

Forget the harm that anyone has done to you,
and forget the good that you have done to others.

There is only one royal road for the spiritual journey...Love

Be Silent yourself, that will induce Silence in others.
Do not fall into the habit of shouting, talking long and loud.
Reduce contacts to the minimum.
Carry with you an atmosphere of quiet contemplation,
wherever you happen to be.

Learn the value of Silence, of Namasmarana, of Bhajan, of Japa, of Dhyana,
of single minded remembrance of the Lord, of the association with spiritual kin.
These will stand you in good stead, when distress assails you.

The less you talk, the more will become your mental power.
With the increase in your mental capacity,
there will be increase in your power of discrimination too.
Consequently, you will give up "individual discrimination".
Because of this, you will begin to consider the good of the world at large
rather than your own individual welfare.

The voice of God can be heard in the region of your heart
when the tongue is stilled and the storm is tilled and the waves are calm.
There will be no temptations for others to shout when you talk to them in whispers.
Set the level of the tone yourself; as low as possible,
as high as necessary to reach the outermost boundary of the circle you are addressing. Conserve sound, since it is the treasure of the element akasa,
an emanation from God Himself.
Reason can prevail only when arguments are advanced
without the whipping up of sound.
Silence is the speech of the spiritual seeker.
Soft sweet speech is the expression of genuine love.
Hate screeches, fear squeals, conceit trumpets.
But love sings lullabies. It soothes. It applies balm.
Practice the vocabulary of love; unlearn the language of hate and contempt.

Silence is the only language of the realized.
Practice moderation in speech. That will help you in many ways.
It will develop Prema, for most misunderstandings and factions arise out of carelessly spoken words. When the foot slips, the wound can be healed; but when the tongue slips, the wound it causes in the heart of another will fester for life. The tongue is liable to four big errors: uttering falsehood, scandalizing, finding fault with others, and excessive speech. All these have to be avoided if there is to be Santhi for the individual as well as for society.

Good works never languish for want of funds; the Lord will come to their rescue. Only it may take some time; do not lose heart... You should not collect money in devious ways. Help should come from pious hearts, from well earned money, from persons who know and appreciate the purpose for which they give. That is why I oppose all benefit shows, where you tempt people with a dance or a drama or a film and collect money for your pet plan.

In all effort, if you trust in a Higher Power which is ready to come to your help, work is made easy. This comes out of Bhakthi, reliance on the Lord, the source of all Power. When you travel by train, you have only to purchase the ticket, enter the proper train and take a seat, leaving the rest to the engine. Why should you carry the bed and trunk on your head? So too put your trust in the Lord and carry on to the best of your ability.

You have been born because you did not pass in certain subjects; there is some balance of experience which you must acquire to complete the course. If you get convinced that your true nature is the Atma, then you have finished the course and 'passed'.

You should see that no dirt settles upon the mind; that is to say, you should move about in such company that dirt is avoided. Falsehood, injustice, indiscipline, cruelty, hate -- these form the dirt; Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema -- these form the clean elements. If you inhale the pure air of these latter, your mind will be free from evil bacilli and you will be mentally sturdy and physically strong.

The year becomes new, the day becomes holy, when you sanctify it by spiritual discipline, not otherwise.

All life is one, my dear son, be alike to every one.

Do not crave for recognition and respect from others;
crave rather for winning grace from the Lord.

God is love, live in love.

The Lord will be watching with a thousand eyes the least activity of man to discover any slight trace of selfless love sweetening it.

A sound mind ensures a sound body; a sound body ensures a sound mind.

The body will shine if the character is fine;
service of man and worship of God will preserve its charm.

The peace that pervades the heart can never be shaken for any reason;
only peace of this kind is worthy of the name.

Love all beings; that is enough.

The grace of God is like insurance. It will help you in your time of need without any limit.

The service of man is the only means by which you can serve God.

God is in you
God is in every word of yours,
Every deed and thought.
Speak, do and think as befits Him.

Do not seek to discover or discuss the evil in others,
for the attempt will tarnish your own minds.

Life is:
Loving
Listening
Lifting
Learning
Living

Thinking, discriminating and practice - all three constitute the basic human characteristics.

Education should build character.

Its is Truth and Truth alone, that is one's real friend, relative.

Faith is like our life breath.
It is impossible to live even for a minute in this world without faith.

Resolve to carry on the quest of your own Reality.

Hatred sprouts;
Envy raises its hood.
Love sprouts;
Peace descends like dew.

Life is the car, your heart is the key, God is the chauffeur.

Expand yourselves; do not contract into your own tiny individuality.

Foster Love
Live in Love
Spread Love

Have the name and form of God as your companion, guide and guardian
throughout the toils of the waking hours.

When you retire for the night offer grateful homage to God for being with you all day long.

The present is a product of the past, but it is also the seed for the future.

Experience that is drawn through any of the senses has an effect on one's health.

The mind sees separateness, Love sees unity.

Head in the forest; Hands in society

Today's man is pursuing unrestrained sense cravings. These pursuits drag man's mind into the gutter.

A man's well-being depends upon his degree of contentment.

Every living being in this world is knowingly or unknowingly on a spiritual pilgrimage.

Every one is the embodiment of God.

Character is the most precious gift of education.

Life is a challenge, meet it !
Life is a dream, realize it !
Life is a game, play it !
Life is Love, enjoy it !

You are all members of the same family, bound by the Religion of Love.

True education is not for a mere living, but for a fuller and meaningful life.

Devotion is not a uniform to be worn on certain days and then to be put aside.

If the mind of man is not reformed and purified then all the plans to reform the world will be futile.

What God gives is never exhausted.
What man gives never lasts.

Love must express itself as Service.

Man has to recognize the indebtedness to society and his duty towards it.

You must make the mind the servant of God, not the slave of the senses.

Good company is important, it helps to cultivate good qualities.

As close as you are to God, so close is God to you.

The synthesis of pure, calming food is breathing pure air, listening to good sounds, looking at good sights, and touching pure objects.

We must control our desires.
Don't waste money
Don't waste time
Don't waste food
Don't waste energy

The gift of food to the hungry is the noblest of all gifts.

When we sit for the meal, we feel light and effortless. When we are done, we should rise with the same feeling of lightness and effortlessness.

Love sees all as one Divine family.

Love...doesn't allow any room for pettiness or narrow outlook.

We should realize that man has not only a mind which conceives thoughts, but also a heart which can put them into practice.

The teachers of tomorrow are the students of today.

Renunciation is the power of battling against evil forces and holding the mind in check.

The heart of man, which is now allowed to lie fallow, has to be plowed by spiritual exercises like repetition of God's name.

Teachers must be examples of Love and Truth.

Being a good example is the best form of Service.

Desire makes man forget his real nature and reduces him to be status of a beast.

Let the different faiths exist, let them flourish and the glory of God be sung in all the languages and in a variety of tunes.

Dedicate all your thoughts, words, and deeds to Him.

Man will realize his mission on earth when he knows himself as Divine and reveres others as Divine.

God gave you the time, space, cause, material, idea, skill, chance, and fortune. Why should you feel as if your are the doer?

If you give up and surrender to the lord, He will guide you and guard you.

Ignorance is the most important cause of sorrow.

Once we surrender our mind to God completely, He will take care of us in every way.

Learn to speak what you feel, and act what you speak.

Small minds select narrow roads; expand your mental vision and take to the broad road of helpfulness, compassion and service.

Politics without principles,
Education without character,
Science without humanity, and
Commerce without morality
Are not only useless, but positively dangerous.

Try to conduct yourself in such a way as not to injure others.

A nation that has no bridle on its sensuality can never thrive or survive.

God is all Names and all Forms

Have constructive thoughts; consoling words; compassionate acts.

The first thing you have to do, to impress upon your mind the reality, is to recite the name of God and dwell on His Glory in the mind.

Character is to be sought more than intellect.

The attitude today is the root on which the future grows.

If there is righteousness in the heart,
There will be beauty in the character.
If there is beauty in the character,
There will be harmony in the home.
When there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
When there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.

Friendship is the expression of unshakable Love.
Love that is noble, pure, free from desire or egoism.

Meditation is nothing else but rising above desires.

When you take one step towards God, God takes ten towards you.

Service should not be exhibitionistic, you must seek no reward, not even gratitude or thanks from the recipient.

You cannot see Me, but I am the Light you see by.
You cannot hear Me, but I am the Sound you hear by.
You cannot know Me, but I am the Truth by which you live.

The food we consume should be tasty, sustaining and pleasant;
It should not be too hot or too salty;
there must be a balance and an equilibrium maintained.

Real happiness lies within you.

Detachment is sacrifice.

Example, not precept, is the best teaching aid.

Base all educational efforts on building up of the character of the students, and then you can confidently think of raising on in the super-structure of curricula.

The mother is the pillar of the home, of society, of the nation, and so of humanity itself.

You are all separate beads strung together on that one thread, God.

Nourish your aged parents; revere them.

Your thoughts, words and deeds will shape others and theirs will shape you.

Love of the country is the basis on which you can build love for world community.

Always respect other's opinion and other's point of view.

Spirituality is an activity. It is an activity of the Divinity within.

If you honor your mother, the Mother of the universe will guard you against harm.

If you honor your father, the Father of all Beings will guard you.

Love expands; it does not limit itself to boundaries.

If you honor your parents, your children will honor you.

A language is as sweet as the tongues of the speakers.

The whole world is One Single Tree;
The different countries are it's branches;
It's root is God;
Human beings are the flowers;
Happiness is the fruit;
Self-realization is the sweet juice therein.

The beauty of life depends upon our good habits.

To reform:
First, weed out the evil thoughts and bad habits.
Second, cultivate good habits.

When the road ends, and the goal is gained,
the pilgrim finds that he has travelled from himself to himself.

Do not preach; practice.

Man loves because he is Love.
He seeks Joy, for he is Joy.
He thirsts for God;
for he is composed of God
and he cannot exist without Him.

By peace, western countries mean the interval between two wars.
That is no peace !
When man thinks, speaks, and does good - peace will ensue.

Where there is Love, there God is evident.

God is the Life-breath of every soul.

One single act of service offered to God whom you visualize in another is worth all the years of yearning for God.

Wealth has to be earned through Righteousness. Desire has to be for Liberation.

Your duty is to serve, not search for faults.

There is no living being without the spark of love; even a mad man loves something or somebody.

Make the home a seat of harmony.

The greatest fear man can have, is the fear of losing God's Love.

God is the mother and father of the world. Our parents are the mother and father of this body.

God is one; there are not many Gods, one for each tribe among men.

Love is one; it transcends caste, colour and creed, if it has to be genuine.

Truth is one; there cannot be two. For, two can only be One, occurring twice.

The goal is one; for all roads must lead to the One God.

God is to be recognized in all that exists, all that is charming, suffering, blooming or drooping.

When heart speaks to heart, it is love that is transmitted.

A limit should be placed on the food that we take.

If you know the road and the goal,
then you can discover whether you are progressing or not

Make the fullest of your talents and march as long as you can, and pitch the tent nearer the goal, when darkness falls.

Truth is the basis of Righteousness.

Be ever watchful to see that you strive to take in more and more of God into you.

Implant in your Heart:
1. Do not forget God.
2. Do not put faith in the world you see around you.
3. Do not be afraid.

The wise are those who know the self.

Truth has no fear; Untruth shivers at every shadow.

Sensory pleasures are trinkets, trivialities.

God is the doer; You are but the instrument.

Cultivate that attitude of Oneness
between men of all creeds, all countries and all continents.

Not through wealth can Immortality be won; it can be won only through renunciation.

Give up; do not grasp in clenched fists.
Release; do not bind and get bound.

Eat, when you are hungry - not before or after.

Do not waste a single moment, in idling or loose living.

Love of the country is the basis on which you can build love for the world community.

If you safeguard Righteousness, it will , in its turn, safeguard us.

Do not get attached to worldly things and pursuits. Be in the world, but do not let the world be in you.

Have no desire to place before God. Whatever He does with you, however He treats you, is the gift that He likes best, to give you!

Work disinterestedly. Content to do one's duty as best as one can.

Aspire now
Adore now
Achieve now.

Blood has to circulate from head to foot;
Love has to circulate from high to low.

Campaign against the temptations of the senses;
Conquer inner foes;
Triumph over your ego.

Practice alone makes man perfect.

Have the Love of God filling and thrilling your heart; then, you cannot hate anyone.

God is not to be spoken of as coming down or going up, since He is everywhere.

The fulfillment of human life consists in the service that man renders, without any thought of return, in an attitude of selflessness.

Do not be like gramophone records singing someone else's song, ignorant of the genuine thrill of music. Sing from your own experience the glory and grace of the Lord.

The easiest and most fruitful method of keeping yourself free from dust and rust is Sathsang (good company). The company of the good and the Godly will slowly and surely chasten and cleanse the persons prone to straying away from straight path towards self realization.

The heart is the film and mind is the lens. Turn the lens towards the world, the worldly picture will fall on the heart; turn it towards God and it will transmit the picture of the divine.

The Lord is the sweetness, you are the sugar; He is fire, you are fuel. He has no heart; every heart where He is installed is His. Cleanse the heart by listening to spiritual discourses, seeking the company of the righteous, simple and sincere and by cultivating goodness of character and sweetness of disposition.

Expansion is the essence of love. When a lamp is lit, from another, there are two where there was one. The first one did not stop emitting light. You can light a million lamps from one; yet the first will not suffer at all! Love too is like this. Share it with a million, it will still be as bright as when it was alone.

Work (Karma), Wisdom (Jnana) and Worship (Bhakti) are the three paths to God, but because of desire (Kama), Karma is warped through Krodha (anger). Jnana is befogged and due to greed (Lobha), Bhakthi is ruined but by developing Prema, man can conquer all these weaknesses.

Make your lives simple. Execute the daily tasks in a spirit of love and mutual cooperation. Be tolerant towards the errors and failings of others. Look upon them with sympathy and equanimity. Be calm and without agitations under all conditions. Then your sentiments will be tender and unselfish. Envy, hatred and vindictiveness will not be able to gain entrance in the stronghold of your mind. You will have peace and happiness.

What exactly is duty? Let me summarise it for you.

1.
Tend to your parents with love and reverence and gratitude.
2.
Speak the truth and act virtuously.
3.
Whenever you have time repeat the Name of the Lord with the form in your mind.
4.
Never indulge in talking ill of others or try to discover faults in others.
5.
Do not cause pain to others in any form

Forbearance is equivalent to truth itself. Forbearance is the heart of righteousness. Forbearance is the very essence of the Veda. Forbearance is non-violence in practice. Forbearance is contentment, it is compassion. Truly it is everything in all the worlds. Only when you have developed patience and forbearance will you be able to obtain the Lord.
Bad deeds never yield good, Good deeds never yield bad. Neem seeds never yield mangoes, Mango seeds never yield neem

On your land, you can grow food as you like or you can be idle and let it lie fallow. You owe yourself the cause of ruin or progress. The tools are in your hands; you can learn the skills and break the shackles and escape, but if you decide to spend life in slavery and bondage, who can save you? Do not blame fate. The status in the present life is decided on your actions in the previous life.

You must realize that the divine current that flows and functions in every living being is the One Universal entity. When you desire to enter the mansion of God, you are confronted by two closed doors - the desire to praise yourself and the desire to defame others. The doors are bolted by envy and there is also the huge lock of egoism preventing entry. So if you are earnest, you have to resort to the key of prema (love) and open the lock; then remove the bolt and throw the doors wide open. The education must train you in this difficult operation.

You are the Atma, which is entangled in the body, a wave of Sathyam (Truth), Shivam (Goodness) and Sundaram (Beauty), playing on the ocean of Sathyam (Truth), Shivam (Goodness) and Sundaram (Beauty), which is the Lord.

When the impulses arising from the heart are expressed in words, that is Sathya. To put into action your words is Dharma. For all these Love is primary. Love in action is righteousness. Love in speech is truth. Love in thought is peace. Love in understanding is non-violence. When you realize that God is in everyone, you will practice non-violence.

In order to light the Jyothi you need four things - a container, oil, wick and a match stick (fire) to light it. Only by the light of the Divine lamp inside can you blossom as a worthwhile person. The inner purity is the wick in the container of the heart. Devotion is the oil and Divine Grace is the fire with which the lamp of wisdom can be lit. The prime requisite for achieving Divine Grace is to have harmony in thought, word and deed.

The spirit of sacrifice is the basic equipment of the sevak. Without the inspiration of the sense of sacrifice, your seva will be hypocrisy, a hollow ritual. Inscribe this on your heart. Inscribe it deep and clear. There are four modes of writing, dependent on the material on which the text is inscribed. The first is writing on water. It is washed out even while the finger moves. The next is writing on sand. It is legible, until the wind blows it into mere flatness. The third is inscription on rocks; it lasts for centuries, but it too is corroded by claws of time. Have this inscribed in your heart - the axiom that "serving others is meritorious, that harming others or remaining unaffected and idle while others suffer, is sin."

The grace of God cannot be won through the gymnastics of reason, the contortions of Yoga or denials of asceticism. Love alone can win it, Love that needs no requital, Love that knows no bargaining, Love that is paid gladly as tribute to all living, Love that is unwavering. Love alone can overcome obstacles, however many and mighty. There is no strength more effective than Purity, no Bliss more satisfying than Love, no joy more restoring than Bhakti, no triumph more praiseworthy than surrender.

You must yourself reason out and discover what exactly will expand your heart and what will breed disquiet, then hold fast to the former and give up the latter. What is the cause of all the troubles and discontent to which many are subjected nowadays? It is the improper use they make of the senses.

In addition to physical Thapas (penance), one has to engage in Vocal Thapas too. Avoid talking too much; desist from statements; do not take delight in backbiting and in scandal mongering; never speak harshly; speak softly and sweetly; speak with the memory of Madhava ever in the background of the mind.

The mind should be free from anxiety and worry, hate and fear, greed and pride. It should be saturated with love for all beings. It has to dwell in God. It has to be restrained from pursuing objective pleasures. No lower thought should be allowed to creep in; all thought must be directed towards proper Thapas (penance) of the mind or manas.

In a hill station you wear a coat, a shirt, and a banyan (under vest). The coat is the tamo guna; the shirt is the rajo guna, and the banyan is the sattwa guna. If you want to see your chest (heart), you have to remove all of them. You cannot recognize your own Self while wearing a coat, shirt and banyan. Likewise, the three gunas must be transcended.

Sathsang is a very important requisite for moral and spiritual advancement. If you keep on in Sathsang continuously your hearts will maintain purity. But, if you resort to it occasionally, then like the less used utensil in the house, your hearts will get tarnished. You must take all the trouble and have all the patience needed to seek Sathsang and remain therein.

As trees do not eat their own fruit, rivers do not drink their own water, cows do not drink their own milk, the body has not been given to man to enjoy pleasures for himself. Every man should recognize the fact that God has given the body to help others.

There is no happiness which is greater than santhosha (contentment). Man develops many comforts for the pleasure of the human body and thinks that this is happiness. You cannot find happiness without Peace. If there is no santhosha, there cannot be Peace.

A mud pot is nothing but mud. Vessels made of gold would be gold and nothing else. A wooden pot is made only of wood, nothing else. Everyone has emerged from God, therefore all are Gods.

Peace and joy can be secured only by realizing that they are ones own nature.

There is nothing bad in the creation of God. Change your attitude and you will see good in everything. Even when you find yourself in troubles say to yourself, "This is good for me." Treat praise and blame with equanimity.

Ego is like an inflated football. When one is inflated with the air of ego, both the good and bad qualities kick the body. The moment ego is gone, the kicking stops and one attends to one's legitimate duties with the feeling that one is only an instrument of the divine.

It is true that many have love for God. But they do not live up to the dictates of the Divine. Those who follow the Divine injunctions in a formal manner, do not act with love for God. It is only when there is a union of love and obedience to God's dictates that one can attain peace of mind.

Prayer has to be united with practice. You should not pray for one thing and practice another. Such prayer is only a means of deception. The words you utter, the deeds you do, the prayers you make must be directed along the same path.

When you have done your best and that is found not enough, then call on ME. I am ever ready to reinforce your efforts with My Grace.

Selflessness, humility, simplicity and unostentatiousness are qualities that underlie the human personality. Along with academic excellence, a student should cultivate good qualities. Education enables you to score marks, but you also need elevation of your personality. Such noble qualities contribute to elevation. Education and elevation combine to develop the human personality.

The sun's image can be seen in an ocean, a river, a lake, a pond or a well. Everywhere the sun appears to be shining. Are there so many different suns? No! The objects reflecting the image of the sun are varied and different from one another. Likewise, names and forms may be different, but in all beings, the same God, without being divided, shines as the indweller. Thus, although bodies may appear with different names and forms, the Divine in them is one.

Where there is attachment, there is hatred, which is a reflection of fear. Fear is born out of attachment, the fear of losing what one has. Attachment and fear breed hatred. These three vices lead man to stray from the virtues of earnestness and faith (Shraddha and Vishvaasa). Hence, attachment, hatred and fear have to be brought under control.

The heart is the film and the mind, the lens. Turn the lens towards the world, the worldly picture will fall on the heart; turn it towards God, and it will transmit the picture of the Divine.

Surrender implies that the 'individual will' should become one with the 'Divine Will's. Obey the Divine Command implicitly without questioning. That is the sign of true devotion. Whatever God does is for your good.

You consider this habitation of yours as "your" body. No, it is the temple of God! God resides therein. Keep it clean, fresh and fragrant through developing compassion and love. Use the temple of God only for holy thoughts, words and deeds.

What is spirituality? It is the resolute pursuit of cosmic consciousness. It aims at enabling man to manifest, in all its fullness, the Divine Cosmic Consciousness (Chaitanya) that is present within and outside him. It means getting rid of the animal nature in man. It means breaking down the barriers between God and Nature and establishing their essential oneness.

If you wish to enjoy enduring happiness, you have to fill your mind with pure thoughts and develop fine feelings in your heart. Through good thoughts and good kindly actions, the heart gets pure and holy.

Come out of the well of ego and swim in the ocean of Universal Spirit or Paramatma of which you are a part. Force your mind or persuade it gently and caressingly to breathe the pure and more vital atmosphere of the eternal. Remember God and His Glory, every second, every breath when you repeat one of His names.

We need not do penance nor study the scriptures. What is it that we must do in order to cross the ocean of life, attain Divinity, and find fulfillment in life? We must serve our fellow man with a loving heart. Service in itself is not anything great. We must serve and work with a loving heart. Every small action we may be involved in should be full of Love.

Love must be manifested as service or seva. Seva must take the form of food for the hungry, solace for the forlorn, consolation of the sick and the suffering. Develop compassion. Live in Love. Be Good, Do Good, and See Good. This is the way to God.

If you have no patience, your anger is fruitless. Such anger is even harmful to you. That your anger, which arises from a lack of patience, helps your unhappiness to grow. The ability to control this kind of anger will come only when you can develop equanimity of mind.

If the mind is properly understood and disciplined and is applied to get rid of wicked qualities based on selfishness, it will lead to a purposeful and fruitful life. It is basically due to selfish thoughts that one fails to achieve the goal of human life.

The foolish man who relies only on his mind will degrade himself by becoming worse than a brute. While the wise person who follows the guidance of his power of discrimination (intellect) will become the master of his destiny.

A cleansed heart is the most appropriate altar. In that fragrant bower the Lord will establish Himself. At that instant another incident too will happen: the group of six vices that had infested the place will quit without so much as a farewell. When these vices quit, the wicked retinue of evil tendencies and vulgar attitudes, which thrive on them, will also break camp and disappear, without even leaving their addresses! Then man will shine in his pristine splendour of truth and love, and finally succeed in merging with the Supreme.

There is nothing good or bad in creation. But, as long as body consciousness exists, one has to experience both. For one who lacks intelligence and wisdom, detachment becomes a burden. For one who lacks knowledge, the body becomes a burden. For one who lacks love, the mind becomes a burden.

Man must control his senses to the extent possible. Otherwise, he will suffer grief. Man must not commit the blunder of resigning everything to his fate. With enquiries and determination, one can achieve anything.

Each person is the master of his or her mind. He alone is a true person who understands this reality - that the microcosm is in the macrocosm and the macrocosm is in the microcosm.

When man realises his true form, he is liberated. When man destroys all the desires in him, he is liberated - Moha Kshaya (destruction of desires) is Moksha or liberation.

Just as one blows of the ash to see the latent fire, one must blow away the ashes of bad qualities on the self with the air of Naamasmarana. Just as one removes the moss on the water with the hands to reveal crystal clear water, man must remove the moss of sensual pleasures with the hands of good-acts. Naamasmarana is the best way prescribed for the Kali age to attain liberation.

Darshan (Sight of the Lord), Sparshan (touching the feet) and Sambhasan (talking with the Lord): Darshan gives you liberation from all sins; Sparshan frees you from the effects of all your actions and Sambhasan destroys all miseries. You heart can attain purity through Divine grace.

Sound is everywhere. Good sounds come from namasmarana (remembering God's name), and benefit everyone. During bhajans, when singing, sruti (pitch), tal (rhythm) and tabla all come together in harmony, beneficial sounds result. The sruti box is the mind, the tablas are like the words and the tal may be compared to action. When mind (thoughts), words and actions are all in unison (triputi), We have Bliss.

We must serve our fellow man with a loving heart. Service in itself is not anything great. We must serve and work with a loving heart. Every small action we may be involved in should be full of Love.

God is in you, before you, behind you, beckoning, guiding, guarding, warning, prompting the inner voice and even speaking with you. He is there ready to respond to the call. Only you are not aware of the phenomenon.

Spirituality is not solitude, living alone. Spirituality is having equal-mindedness toward everyone, living with all and helping all (ekatama bhava). Mix in society but single- mindedly attach your mind and heart only to God. Be aware of the unity that all is one, then only can one enter into Divinity. Have relationship with Love and God, and attain oneness. Have the feeling of oneness; do not think that you are different from others.

When you have all powers, but lack divine power, you will not succeed. True power is divine power. When one has good company, his life will be full of devotion.

It is not enough that we keep away from bad company; we should join good company, give up bad qualities and develop good qualities.

People think that the merit is attained by giving things in charity and helping others. But this is not the true meaning. The true meaning of charity or paropkara comes from "para" meaning spirit; "upa" meaning that which is in proximity to God, and "kara" or work. Those deeds that take us near to God are paropakara.

We can be successful leaders only if we are disciplined followers, who do not issue commands to others but rather set an example of service in our actions.

Detachment is not running away to the forest. It is sacrificing negative feelings, desires and delusions.

To live with the awareness that God exists in every one is true sadhana and devotion. Everyone is God; respect everyone and give them joy and bliss. That is real life, true devotion and true sadhana.

The best way to God is to love all and serve all. Not worldly, material love, but divine love, which is changeless and eternal. Love arises from the mind. Worldly love collapses, perishes and exhausts itself, whereas Divine love is changeless, limitless, and constantly renews itself. God is always with you, in you and around you so you don't need to search for him.

Education should lead one to humility, which in turn equips him with all the eligiblility. Eligibility provides him with necessary material wealth, which enables him to do some charitable deeds. Charity makes him happy both in this world and the higher one after this.

If you wish to lead a sacred life and have sacred experiences, you must engage yourself in sacred actions. The good and evil in the world can be changed only by the change in men's actions. Transformation of society must start with transformation of individuals.

Believe

YES WE CAN!!

"YES WE CAN!"-Barack Obama

Barack Obama, has to be the freshest, stimulating and the most empowering positive person that has stepped into the public eye in the arena of politics . He is a rare breed that dares to speak out against the "Establishment" that has for too long governed the minds of men. In many ways he is giving back the power to the people, enabling them to have a voice and begin to believe in their own truth. For too long the veils of secrecy have hidden the souls of the masses. He now steps out as a beacon of light giving hope not only for America, but the nations around the world.

I use his power as an affirmation, as a stance and an example as he is someone I feel with a presence. Yet we all have a presence and a voice.

As many people begin to awaken, an era of self development and awareness steps in giving the human spirit a wake up call.

I continue to be deeply inspired by many students and clients alike, that the energy that we channel, can and does change lives. In order to find the self or to begin the journey of self discovery, one important ingredient is always added to the recipe of success. That all important ingredient is what encourages us all to develop and change our lives for the better. The ingredient is FOCUS.

Focus enables us to believe in something that we want. It ignites a passion and a thrive for change. It brings in new hope and belief.

The focus of living, of connecting, of being a being of light, has been brushed aside, with the essence of unconditional love swept from our society.

But there is hope.

Many times within workshops or courses I have heard people say, "I cant do that". The moment you send that message to the brain, the mind begins to believe it. It has an overall effect on the body, creating a limiting process. When you send out constant reminders to the self that you cant do something, You believe it. Yet with focus and intention , they realize that they can.

"I believe" was given to us by Martin Luther King, who, perhaps was born before his time. Yet he gave people hope. Many musicians and writers were inspired by his words. Perhaps Barack Obama is the freshest and most invigorating person to step outside of America since then.

Too many people are focusing upon what might happen in years to come. Dont give it energy. Live in the moment, live with the belief, Yes we can!

Pema Chodron

"Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity."

Ane Pema Chodron was born Deirdre Blomfield-Brown in 1936, in New York City. She attended Miss Porter's School in Connecticut and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. She taught as an elementary school teacher for many years in both New Mexico and California. Pema has two children and three grandchildren.

While in her mid-thirties, Ane Pema traveled to the French Alps and encountered Lama Chime Rinpoche, with whom she studied for several years. She became a novice nun in 1974 while studying with Lama Chime in London. His Holiness the Sixteenth Karmapa came to England at that time, and Ane Pema received her ordination from him.

Pema first met her root guru, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, (the "Vidyadhara") in 1972. Lama Chime encouraged her to work with Rinpoche, and it was with him that she ultimately made her most profound connection, studying with him from 1974 until his death in 1987. At the request of the Karmapa, she received the full bikshuni ordination in the Chinese lineage of Buddhism in 1981 in Hong Kong. She first met Ayya Khema at the first Buddhist nuns conference in Bodhgaya India in 1987, and they were close friends from that time until her death.

Ane Pema served as the director of Karma Dzong in Boulder, Colorado until moving in 1984 to rural Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to be the director of Gampo Abbey. The Vidyadhara gave her explicit instructions on running Gampo Abbey. The success of her first two books, The Wisdom of No Escape and Start Where You Are, made her something of a celebrity as a woman Buddhist teacher and as a specialist in the mahayana lojong teachings. She and Judy Lief were instructed personally by the Vidyadhara on lojong, "which is why I took off with it," she explains.

Pema has struggled with health problems in the past five years but her condition has improved and she anticipates being well enough to continue teaching programs at Gampo Abbey and in California. She plans for a simplified travel schedule with a predictable itinerary, as well as the opportunity to spend an increased amount of time in solitary retreat under the guidance of Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.

Pema is interested in helping establish Tibetan Buddhist monastacism in the West, as well in continuing her work with western Buddhists of all traditions, sharing ideas and teachings. She has written five books: The Wisdom of No Escape, Start Where You Are, When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times and The Places That Scare You and No Time to Lose are available from Shambhala Publications. She recently completed a new book called "Practicing Peace in Times of War" that will be published by Shambhala Publications later in 2006.

"AMMA - Embracing the World!"

Amma has time and again emphasised that the duty of every human being is to realise his true Self, or in other words, "know who we really are." She does not favour any particular religion. When asked to which religion she belongs, she says, my religion is love and service.

Love is the foundation of a happy life. Knowingly or unknowingly we are forgetting this truth, she says. Amma, on several occasions, has said that it is important not only to feel love but also to express it. After all, love is our true nature. When we do not express love in our words and actions it is like honey hidden in a rock. She says, it is of no use to anyone. This mutual sharing and expressing of love should begin at home between married couples and between parents and children. Only then will there be peace and harmony at home and in society.

"Everyone in the world should be able to sleep without fear, at least for one night. Everyone should be able to eat to his fill, at least for one day. There should be at least one day when hospitals see no one admitted due to violence. By doing selfless service for at least one day, everyone should help the poor and needy. It is Ammas prayer that at least this small dream be realised."
Música "In the river of Love, Thou raisest the waves of divine music and beauty. Thy smile radiates cooling light in which my inner self gets immersed."

Amritanandamayi is well known for her singing, said to be soul stirring. Bhajans, or Indian devotional chants are a big part of the Ashram and Amritanandamayi joins the daily chanting when she is at the ashram. She has sang in over 30 different languages. Since her early childhood she has composed hundreds of bhajans. The senior swamis are accomplished musicians in both vocal and instrumental areas of music.

Indian saint known as Ammachi, Amma, Mother of Immortal Bliss, and The Hugging Saint, a remarkable contemporary woman. Born the fourth of nine children to an extremely poor family in a fishing village on the west coast of India, she was named Sudhamani. A precocious child, she started composing songs of deep mystical significance at the age of five. Her enchanting singing became well known throughout the village. Aware from infancy of her constant connection to the divine, she immersed herself in carrying out compassionate acts towards her family and neighbors. She was often seen singing in a mood of ecstatic devotion or blissfully immersed in meditation. "From childhood I had an intense love of the Divine Name. I would repeat the Lord's Name incessantly with every breath and a constant flow of divine thoughts was kept up in my mind no matter the place where I was or the work I was doing."

Ammachi had only four years of formal education before she was put to work full time. As a teen, she scandalized her family and community by refusing to marry, devoting herself to a life of mystical contemplation and social service. Her family and others scorned her "strange" behavior and threatened her. Eventually the girl was locked out of the house and not even given any food to eat. When sympathetic local women tried to bring her food and care for her, they were sent away by the family. Some of the local villagers who could not understand her state of divine bliss ridiculed her by throwing stones at her, and she endured threats on her life. She slept outdoors with the sand as her bed, the stars as her blanket and the moon her only light. Animals came to feed her, with reports of a dog that brought food packets to her in his mouth and a cow that stood near her so that she could drink from its udder. In late 1975, as she prayed fervently to the Divine Mother, longing for mystical union, she was rewarded with a vision and a message. She began instantly to manifest the qualities of the Divine Mother and became Mata Amritanandamayi, Mother of Immortal Nectar, respectfully called Ammachi, "revered mother." She began to perform small miracles and attain great visions. From 1981, a small group of dedicated devotees began to be attracted to her spiritual wisdom, her amazing command of advanced yogi states and her unceasing radiance that bestowed unconditional love to all.

In the intervening years, she has become one of the best loved saints in India, and she has gained millions of followers worldwide. Hailed by many Indian leaders as a woman of unassailable sanctity and selflessness, she lives the life of a simple village woman, with few possessions. With boundless energy, she has founded hospitals, orphanages, cultural institutions and schools. Her work has blossomed into a worldwide organization, the Mata Amritanandamayi Mission Trust, which is engaged in many spiritual and charitable activities. In 1993 she was elected one of three "presidents" of Hinduism, a lifetime position.

Over the past several years, she has spent a third of each year traveling around the world with her teaching. When she appears in public, as many as a million people come to receive her blessing. She asks for nothing. When gifts are given, they are turned over to her charitable trust fund that feeds an estimated 50,000 poor Indians monthly. As the faithful or the curious line up, she embraces each person, radiating love and compassion. "Hugging," she said, "helps them to unfold and to awaken their true nature."

Amma does not run this myspace page, she's way too busy touring the word and giving hugs to be online!! I am a devotee and this is my seva, helping share the truth of unconditional love! I will be happy to answer any questions you have about Amma to the best of my ability! Namaste!

"The Divine is present in everyone, in all beings, in everything. Like space it is everywhere, all pervading, all powerful, all knowing. The Divine is the principle of Life, the inner light of consciousness, and pure bliss. It is our very own Self."

The Dalai Lama

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is both the head of state and the spiritual leader of Tibet. He was born on 6 July 1935, to a farming family, in a small hamlet located in Taktser, Amdo, northeastern Tibet. At the age of two the child, who was named Lhamo Dhondup at that time was recognized as the reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama, Thubten Gyatso. The Dalai Lamas are believed to be manifestations of Avalokiteshvara or Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion and patron saint of Tibet. Bodhisattvas are enlightened beings who have postponed their own nirvana and chosen to take rebirth in order to serve humanity. Education in Tibet His Holiness began his monastic education at the age of six. The curriculum consisted of five major and five minor subjects. The major subjects were logic, Tibetan art and culture, Sanskrit, medicine, and Buddhist philosophy which was further divided into a further five categories: Prajnaparimita, the perfection of wisdom; Madhyamika, the philosophy of the middle Way; Vinaya, the canon of monastic discipline; Abidharma, metaphysics; and Pramana, logic and epistemology. The five minor subjects were poetry, music and drama, astrology, motre and phrasing, and synonyms. At 23 he sat for his final examination in the Jokhang Temple, Lhasa, during the annual Monlam (prayer) Festival in 1959. He passed with honours and was awarded the Geshe Lharampa degree, the highest-level degree equivalent to a doctorate of Buddhist philosophy. Leadership Responsibilities In 1950 His Holiness was called upon to assume full political power after China's invasion of Tibet in 1949. In 1954, he went to Beijing for peace talks with Mao Zedong and other Chinese leaders, including Deng Xiaoping and Chou Enlai. But finally, in 1959, with the brutal suppression of the Tibetan national uprising in Lhasa by Chinese troops, His Holiness was forced to escape into exile. Since then he has been living in Dharamsala, northern India, the seat of the Tibetan political administration in exile. Since the Chinese invasion, His Holiness has appealed to the United Nations on the question of Tibet. The General Assembly adopted three resolutions on Tibet in 1959, 1961 and 1965. Democratisation Process In 1963 His Holiness presented a draft democratic constitution for Tibet that was followed by a number of reforms to democratise our administrative set-up. The new democratic constitution promulgated as a result of this reform was named "The Charter of Tibetans in Exile". The charter enshrines freedom of speech, belief, assembly and movement. It also provides detailed guidelines on the functioning of the Tibetan government with respect to those living in exile. In 1992 His Holiness issued guidelines for the constitution of a future, free Tibet. He announced that when Tibet becomes free the immediate task would be to set up an interim government whose first responsibility will be to elect a constitutional assembly to frame and adopt Tibet's democratic constitution. On that day His Holiness would transfer all his historical and political authority to the Interim President and live as an ordinary citizen. His Holiness also stated that he hoped that Tibet, comprising of the three traditional provinces of U-Tsang, Amdo and Kham, would be federal and democratic. In May 1990, the reforms called for by His Holiness saw the realisation of a truly democratic administration in exile for the Tibetan community. The Tibetan Cabinet (Kashag), which till then had been appointed by His Holiness, was dissolved along with the Tenth Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies (Tibetan parliament in exile). In the same year, exile Tibetans on the Indian sub-continent and in more than 33 other countries elected 46 members to the expanded Eleventh Tibetan Assembly on a one-man one-vote basis. The Assembly, in its turn, elected the new members of the cabinet. In September 2001, a further major step in democratisation was taken when the Tibetan electorate directly elected the Kalon Tripa, the senior-most minister of the Cabinet. The Kalon Tripa in turn appointed his own cabinet who had to be approved by the Tibetan Assembly. In Tibet's long history, this was the first time that the people elected the political leadership of Tibet. Peace Initiatives In September 1987 His Holiness proposed the Five Point Peace Plan for Tibet as the first step towards a peaceful solution to the worsening situation in Tibet. He envisaged that Tibet would become a sanctuary; a zone of peace at the heart of Asia, where all sentient beings can exist in harmony and the delicate environment can be preserved. China has so far failed to respond positively to the various peace proposals put forward by His Holiness. The Five Point Peace Plan In his address to members of the United States Congress in Washington, D.C. on 21 September 1987, His Holiness proposed the following peace plan, which contains five basic components: 1. Transformation of the whole of Tibet into a zone of peace. 2. Abandonment of China's population transfer policy that threatens the very existence of the Tibetans as a people. 3. Respect for the Tibetan people's fundamental human rights and democratic freedoms. 4. Restoration and protection of Tibet's natural environment and the abandonment of China's use of Tibet for the production of nuclear weapons and dumping of nuclear waste. 5. Commencement of earnest negotiations on the future status of Tibet and of relations between the Tibetan and Chinese peoples. Strasbourg Proposal In his address to members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 15 June 1988, His Holiness made another detailed proposal elaborating on the last point of the Five Point Peace Plan. He proposed talks between the Chinese and Tibetans leading to a self-governing democratic political entity for all three provinces of Tibet. This entity would be in association with the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Government would continue to remain responsible for Tibet's foreign policy and defence. Universal Recognition His Holiness the Dalai Lama is a man of peace. In 1989 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his non-violent struggle for the liberation of Tibet. He has consistently advocated policies of non-violence, even in the face of extreme aggression. He also became the first Nobel Laureate to be recognized for his concern for global environmental problems. His Holiness has travelled to more than 62 countries spanning 6 continents. He has met with presidents, prime ministers and crowned rulers of major nations. He has held dialogues with the heads of different religions and many well-known scientists. Since 1959 His Holiness has received over 84 awards, honorary doctorates, prizes, etc., in recognition of his message of peace, non-violence, inter-religious understanding, universal responsibility and compassion. His Holiness has also authored more than 72 books. His Holiness describes himself as “a simple Buddhist monk”.

The economic crisis/crunch- The lesson

It is so evident that the current econmic crisis that is hitting the western world, is teaching us a profound lesson. Could it be that this lesson can change the world. Could it be that the divide in ecconomy will fall and create a form of equilibrium?

Greed is the biggest cause of imbalance in the world. The poor have nothing to lose. They are the ones who rise abve the greed of the west. Greed has exploited workers and thse who are of minorities. This is where the world has to learn the lesson. The world leaders have to acknowledge that sharing is a responsibility to the world and its people.

There is a spiritual belief system, what you give out, you shall receive. The west has been greedy for too long. Now the nations and people will rise up and be the powerful nations. Yet they are aware and will encourage balance within the world.

"I am the Eye's of the world and every one is watching ,look for me and you will find me."

Reaching a state of compassion is one of the roads that we feel we must meet in order to reach a segment of wholeness. Our lives are a territory of experience. Every situation that unfolds within our lives is brought about by our own making. Yes, we do , to some degree attract experiences into our life. Often there is a higher reason for this as we subconsciously or consciously attract positive and negative situations into our lives. The higher reasons often manifest because we are here to learn a deeper manifestation and experience of self.

How many of you reach within to embrace your spirit, the spirit your call "myself?"
It is only when you reach within that you can begin to discover who you are as a person.
To many of us lead our lives without even bothering to question the life you have chosen.

However, often time comes to par. It often takes an illness, relationship breakup, accident or series of accidents before you begin to take notice of the spirit within. Let me take an example of a middle aged woman who finds herself in an abusive relationship. It may take a few years before she realizes that she can no longer tolerate a string of abusive situation. Often a person in this predicament loses all her self confidence and self esteem. If she is lucky enough to survive, that is as unfortunately there are too many women falling victim to abuse. Perhap society and its pressures have a hand to play, yet it is not an excuse to demorolize, and take away any womans power or self respect.

However let us take the woman who finds herself in this predicament. Something somewhere within her spirit ignites, giving birth to an element of inner strength. A knowledge, an awareness that she no longer deserves to be treated this way. A survival instict that tells her to walk away and find who she is.
As she makes that decision she attracts positive people into her life that assist in her moving forward.
Nothing can take away the experience, but what manifests is inner strength aiding the spirit to grow from experience to embrace a new sense of self.

She then starts on a voyage of self discovery in finding herself and gaining confidence, self love and respect for herself. Her self esteem starts to comeback as she realizes that she can stand on her own two feet without being controlled by a dominent role model.

She receives a special and unique gift, the gift of empathy and compassion. Having being there, she is in a position to help another. Some women may go on to just helping a friend in a similar situation, some may open a centre or refuge, others will just be an inspiration. Compassion grows from experience aiding and assisting an open heart.

Globe of Enchantment through the Veils of Secrecy

If we were to stop for a moment. Still the body and relax the mind into a quiet conteplation of peace, we can then begin to access our own spirit. How often do we contact our own spirit? The spirit of our destiny that lies within the self. Are we to live out our existance similary to the one in which we are conditioned to live within the world?

How often have you said, "I wish I could.....", "If only......", we dont have to wait. We can do what it is we want to do now. Too many people go through their lives just wishing, yet have only been using the mind as a tool instead of the spirit. The spirit feeds the heart, yet the mind controls the heart. It is time to let go of the mind ideaologies and start connecting with the heart. Instead of what do you think, it becomes what do you feel.

Yet if you just stop. Be silent. Still the mind and sit in the silence or with gentle quiet relaxing and soothing music and just take a little time out of your day to relax totally. Become aware of the body and where tension sits. Relax each muscle in turn so you can peel away the veils that hide your spirit.

The Universal Consciousness

I recieved news from a friend who informed us that his cousin passed to
the light after a fight with Leukemia. Two days later his mother,
"Ana" sadly passed to the light. They both lived in Venezuela. So Please
send healing and light as well as strength to "Fran" and all his family. May they be blessed
with love and healing at this sad time.

Often we are unable to understand why people who we love are taken away from us. Why does it happen?
It comes down to the fact that we are all here for a reason. We all have a purpose to fulfil. When the purpose has been fulfilled, and the lesson learned, the journey that enables the soul to break free, can be accessed.
Do we selfishly try to hold on to loved ones to prevent them from reaching the light?
We have to come to terms with death. It happens. It happens to us all and we all at some stage within our life have to confront the lesson.
Often death enables those who are left behind on the earth plane, to open a door. The door is an opening to a new reality, a new existance.
Very often the door that opens is one that embraces the spiritual path.

There is a spiritual aspect to everyones soul path. We have to embrace the mental, emotional, physical and the spiritual to enable us to fully understand who we are and why we are here. Often within the early years we experience the mental and emotional lessons in the form of relationships and friendships. This will often determin how we interact with others on the planet. Our physical lessons will affect the mental and emotional. They all have their individual roles to play yet they also help to shape who we become. All three also carve the spiritual role we encompass within society.

We have to learn to Break free from restriction and start thinking for ourselves. For too long society has fitted us all into boxes. Conforming to suit what society teaches us.
Yet I feel we need to start assisting humanity with the connection to the heart chakra. To help people to connect with their hearts and follow their hearts when making decisions rather than following what they are conditioned to believe is the right thing to do. We are conditioned to believe that when one is working in business that the ego has to be in place and one has to remain hard and business like. If you connect to your heart, your heart will tell you what path to take and how to deal with situations. You will learn to use your intuition and follow that gut feeling.

I feel that we spend too much time trying to force aspects to happen rather than learning to surrender to the Universe and saying, If it happens, it happens. This brings the lesson from the heart to teach us to live each day, for each day. If there was a message from the spirit world, I am sure they would say to us to not be so serious about life. They would tell us to live each day as though it was our last. They would tell us that they, the spirit realm is close by , but just in another dimension.

Life in many ways is like a Tapestry. Yet here on earth all we see is the back of the tapastry. We dont fully understand why and where we are going. Yet our loved ones and those that we know who have passed to the light can see the beautiful picture that we each are manifesting as we take each step through our life. Often it is the Spiritual ingredient that enters a persons life that assists upon adding that extra spice and thread to the overall picture. Each experience that we have can be likened to a colour. If we have a fulfilled life with a creation of opportunity we are able to recreate a beautiful colourful picture.

Often guidance is given from the spirit world. This maybe a word, a sign or symbol or just a confirmation to enable you to know that you are on the right path. As the Ascension prosess is manifesting at a higher frequency the vibration of Love is deepening reaching us all to unite with the powers of the heart, follow it and believe in your own truth. Let go of restriction and egotystical idealologies, and create that unique tapestry that has your name and essence rather than a stereotypical copy.

Missing and Disappearing Children -Energy Portals

This week I continue with the need to heighten the awareness of the growing amounts of disappearing children. But it is not only those who are disappearing, but also those whom are running away and committing suicide. The cases for child suicides are on the increase. Why?

Where does one start when addressing a situation such as this. I feel that enforcement and strict upbringing is not the answer. Nor do I feel that a leaninsy
towards children is the solution.Parents are often in turmoil when bringing children into the world. How are you meant to bring a child up? How is a child to be treated?
Where do the boundries end? Perhaps that is one area to address. Boundries.

But the world is changing. There are many children who are sensitive.
"Too sensitive". But no child can be too sensitive.
It is just that we live in the harsh world.Sensitive children find it hard to be themselves so often put up a front,an image or a form of rebellion to hide the insecurity of being different or sensitive. But a message goes out to those who are different or extremely sensitive. It is wonderful to be that way.

Most teenages and children I have met who are sensitive are incredibly creative.
Some parents and teachers however dont understand or dont actually listen to their
childrens cries for help. Often in America, children who are misbehaving are sent
to boot camp and shouted at until they enter a form of submission. They then calm
down and fall into the catagory that their parents want them to be, the all american
boy or girl. If they dont calm down they are often sent to a psychiatrist, or worse an istitution. Parents who dont have time or misunderstand their children abandon or reject.

Yet I feel we have to understand an important element if we want to connect to children with sensitive natures. In a way, I feel there needs to be a refresh in the
way children are brought up. We understand that the physical nature of a child is
inherited from the parents, but the Soul is completely unique. Every child born into the world carries its own unique soul. Each soul has its own journey. But children grow up and fit into boxes, created by mainstrem society. Why?
Is it any wonder that the youth of today are trying to break free from the trappings
of the past. I feel we are entering a new way of understanding.

Yet I feel the children of today are crying out for change. Crying out for acceptance and understanding. Are children aware of their Light body? Children are also running away from restriction and stress.

Portals of Energy.
Because children are more sensitive, they are able to see, feel and understand
energy. It is predicted that a new energy is within our midst. But the children "the sensitives" are able to tap into the energy field. Could it be that these children are here among us to teach us important lessons?

Could those children who are disappearing, be entering an energy portal (doorway)
to another dimension Similarly to the Bermuda Triangle? Why is it possible to watch it on a Scifi Movie or thriller and feel or sense a knowingness or possibility?
People have known to disappear, and only to re-appear months later to recollect UFO abductions. These reports are steadily on the increase. Is it possible that a forth dimensional pull, could pull us from our three dimensional way of existance. Perhaps these sensitive children are aware of this. Strangely enough, it appears that a high percentage of the children who do go missing, are in fact, sensitive children. Is that a co-incidence?

It was recently explained to me that the forth dimension vibrates at a much faster speed than the one that we exist in. If we take the form of a wheel of a bicycle as a way of determining vibrations. The third dimensional way of being is the all seeing. If the wheel goes around slowly, we can see the spokes of the wheel go around. Thus we see, feel, touch and hear clearly. But the forth/fifth dimension is similarly to the wheel of a bike going around faster. When this happens we can not physically see the spokes go around, but we know they are there. Only those who are sensitive enough are able to tap into this energy portal.

Mis information and Malpractice

Malpractise and Mis information

The article I wrote , the second half of the Frank Arjava Petter interview appeared to spark off an important element that I feel I need to address this week.
I recieved a handful of e.mails from one particular "Doctor" in the week who has taken the law into his own hands by handing out mis information about Reiki. Due to his Religious background, he believes that Reiki is the work of Saten. We are all entitled to our beliefs and Religious backgrounds, but I feel when it affects ones clients, then it is a different matter altogether. It is only what I can deem as Mal Practise.

This Doctor works in the area of "Alternative Health". I find it hard to understand that when a person is following "Alternative" ethics, that he allows his own Religion to dictate his wellbeing for his clients. Now if you were to have read the articles following the interview with Frank Arjava Petter, one would not see anything hurtful or harming. It was self explanetry.
But this "Doctor" has appeared to have scanned the article only picking out key words.

"Mediums" was one word. Apparently this is the work of the devil. Receiving a message from my grandmother and talking with the dead, apparently is the devils work. Amazing to think that we are in the year 2008 and still there are people out there who walk around with blinkers on. Apparently talking to the Spirit of Jesus is not talking to the dead, because Jesus is alive. So too is the spirit of my Grandmother. She too is an essence of God. We all are.

I asked Frank Arjava Petter about other forms of Reiki, thus Angel Reiki, Wicca Reiki and Rainbow Reiki. This Doctor, of course picked up on the word "Wicca" that immedietly told him that all healers are witches. Wicca as I explained to him is perhaps one of the oldest Religions in the world. It is part of the Pagan Religion who worship the elements, seasons, nature spirits, the God and Godess energies of the earth. It is connected to all that is. One would have thought that he would have known this as he especially works with herbs and the elements from the earth.

He also informed me that he carried out a study of Reiki. I dont know where because all he came up with were "Dangers of Reiki" and what the Bible says about it according to his Faith. It is this information that he not only believes is true, but is handing out to his clients, without them even asking for information. He tells them that the Bible has the answer.
Now I feel this is very dangerous to hand out information that could affect the wellbeing of his clients. One particular woman, who also happens to be a friend of mine was given the misinformation. She also feels that this "Doctor" is not aware of what he is doing and is unethical. He has also caused her to re-think her treatments and go elsewhere. Maybe that is a blessing.

I feel that unless a person is knowledgable within a certain area, they should leave them well alone. The makings of a good therapist is someone who has compassion and understanding for the client as well as an awareness of what is beneficial for the wellbeing. Frightening and alarming the client is well out of order.

Last week I mentioned how Religion can be used as a tool for Power and Control. In some ways this is an example of that. This particular faith believes that only the bible has the answer and all other methods are the work of Saten. This Doctor appears so conditioned and blinkered and refuses to see the otherside of the coin.
There are many people who go to church who are open and accepting of faith and spiritual healing. Reiki is also apart of that. Its origins stem from Japan and Tibet.

Reiki is unconditional Love channelled from Source. How can love, unconditional love, be the work of the Devil?

In many ways I feel that the Devil, Saten, and negative energy is just a state of mind, I feel it is a fear factor, placed into society to control the masses.

Missing Children- Where do they go?

I feel I have to address a very important yet worrying issue that is affecting much of the world today.
Missing children are on the increase. Madaline McCanns disappearance is only one of thousands of children that disappear each year. There have been alarming rates of disappearing children.
There are currently over 200 children missing in Spain. 31 children went missing in Portugal in 2007. In the USA an estimated 797.000 went missing in a one year period. 203.000 of those were related to family abductions, over 58,000 were of non family abductions and 115 were associated with kidnapping and ransom or killings. In the uk over 100.000 children go missing every year.

Where do they go?

Yet there are now many "Conspiracy Theories" that surround the many who disappear from homes and streets without trace. Firstly I would like to address the issue of Conspiracy Theories". These are theories that come to light from people who are prepared to think for themselves instead of allowing the conditioned control of governments and Religion to control the minds of men. Those who do speak out are often ridicueled. Why?

Because they do not follow the law of the land. Because they are not prepared to be conditioned as a sheep. They are people who can think for themselves and are able to see the world as it is, rather than what the Governments want us the believe. Yet it is not the Governments who are in control of our world. They are pharmaceutical companies Financers, The illuminati and the New world Order who control the Governments. Religion and the Church was only placed into society to create control, so people would follow a belief. Yet look at what Religion has caused, War. War the world over, yet War generates money and arms and Power.

A conspiricy theory surrounding the disappearance of a multitude of children ranging from 2-15 is happening, because the Governments want more power and control over people.
They know that people are now beginning to think for themselves and breaking free from the old traditions from the past. Many people are finding themselves more on a spiritual level than a Religious Level. The Governments fear this. What better way than to create fear and hysteria within society. A continuing increase in missing children are reported the world over. Why?

The only way in which the Governments can have control over us is to implant the human race with microchips. That way no child will ever go missing. No human will be able to hide.
No animal will be lost. Implanting microchips in humans is a planned idea. If this goes ahead, our free will no longer exists. Every piece of information about each human will be known about.It is no longer a scifi movie script, but something very real. Are all the children followed and kidnapped to order ?

There are a few companies in America that have designed the human implants. These include Verichip, Applied Digital Solutions, and Digital Angel. They are producing these on a mass scale. Why?
Government members are getting chipped to show an acceptance to the use of implants. Chipping pensioners gives hospitals access to all medical records when admitted. Millionaires are chipping themselves to protect themselves for security reasons. It is recommended that all children get chipped to prevent Kidnapping cases and lost children.

Could the case of Madaline McCann be used as a Catalyst to encourage children to be chipped?
Is it against human rights?
Would you chip your child to prevent them from Kidnap or disappearance, But take away their privacy and free will.

Another theory is that Energy Portals co-exist within our frequency. Could it be that missing children enter another dimension?
More next week....

Are you a season, reason or a lifetime?

You never know when your guardian angel will be there for you so I have to try...
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime

Send this to every friend that you have on-line,
including the person who sent it to you.

0 Replies - you may need to work on your 'people skills'
2 Replies - you are nice but probably need to be more outgoing
4 Replies - you have picked your friends well!
6 Replies - you are downright popular
8 Replies or More - you are totally awesome
(and that's probably why you're on MY list)

I wonder what mine will be.

" The Frank Arjava Petter Interview" part 1 and 2

Continuing with Celestial intervention, Andalusia welcomes one of the most respected "Reiki Gurus" to Malaga Province from the 9th-17th February. "Frank arjava Petter" is well known throughout the world. He is the Author of many Reiki books including 'Reiki Fire', "Reiki, the Legacy of Dr. Usui", "The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr. Mikao Usui", "The Original Reiki Handbook", co-author of "The Spirit of Reiki", "Reiki Best Practices" and "The Hayashi Reiki- Manual".

I recently contacted Frank and asked him a few questions prior to his visit. I hope you find his replies as inspiring as I found them.

Firstly I asked Frank or "Arjava" as he is better known, What happened in your life, to receive the calling to the Reiki path? What is your Lineage?

He replied " I came across Reiki accidentally, if there is such a thing. From age sixteen I was exposed to meditation, yoga, mysticism and the oriental healing arts. When I learned Reiki, many years later, it clicked instantly. But I did have to overcome a few obstacles. The first Reiki treatment I ever received was boring and did not touch me at all. Yet I did not loose my interest. My first Reiki Teacher, my brother, was found out not to have taken a teacher’s training himself. That disappointed me, but I accredited that to human nature, and not to Reiki. In fact, this made me hungry for the origins of Reiki: I thought it marvelous that Reiki had been used and abused in so many different ways, and yet it had retained its original purity, its essence. And this essence was what I was interested in. "

"My second teacher was an old friend, Agehanand Popat, who had learned from someone (Peter Gilgen) belonging to the Reiki Alliance. What I learned from him was wonderful, but still it felt incomplete. Five years before I met with Reiki I already lived and worked in Japan, knowing its culture, its people and its fragrance. I was married there and ran a language school. This first hand experience made me look deeper for the roots of Reiki. I knew that what I had learned was a delicious New Age cocktail. To put it lightly, Reiki History and Teaching at that time (1993) was filled with questionable “truth”. So I made an effort to research both."

After one year of teaching, one of my students “found” a ninety- year old Japanese gentleman, who was one of the few teachers of the original Reiki Society. He was kind and taught us some of what he knew, but before I could formally train with him, he passed away. Six years later, I met my third Reiki Teacher, Chiyoko Yamaguchi. She was 78 when I met her, having practiced Reiki since she was seventeen. What I teach today is mostly what I learned from her.

Secondly I asked him "What are your feelings about the way in which Reiki is taught around the world today?"

Answer: "Reiki is such a beautiful spiritual path. It is clear and simple in its essence, but so many artificial flavours have been added to it. It is time to look at what the essence of Reiki really is, and to peel of all the layers of what was added later on. Simple is Best. The reason why so much has been added is to avoid the inner insecurity, the inner lack of trust that one has in oneself. If this issue is properly addressed and solved, life can be lived in simplicity."

On a practical level Reiki is a serious healing art that needs to be treated with devotion and respect. Devotion and respect need time to grow. In Japan Reiki is seen as a way of life, a love affair with existence that never ends. I have witnessed so many healings on all levels when Reiki is practiced seriously.
One of the main subjects in the original system is to learn how to find problem areas in the body with your hands. You are taught how to increase your perception, and how to understand the body’s inherent healing process. Once you know how to do that, you can successfully treat your clients. Before you do, you are fishing in the dark.

Thirdly I asked Arjava "Do you feel there is a right way and a wrong way in teaching Reiki?"

Answer: "Absolutely. The only right way to teach Reiki is to live it. If the teacher does not incorporate the teaching into his own personal life, it has no meaning. So in a way I would like to rephrase your question.” Is there a right or a wrong man to teach Reiki?” If the teacher walks his talk, he is worth studying with. Someone whose being radiates love and compassion can teach you something- just by being in his presence. Someone whose mind and heart is filled with all sorts of junk, is better to be steered clear of as a teacher. I am not saying that a Reiki Teacher must be a saint, but the fragrance of the process of awakening must be felt in his presence. Reiki is not about curing a headache. It is about finding yourself, and not everyone can teach you that."

Frank Arjava Petter interview continued next week.....

Part 2
This week has been absolutly incredible. Please keep your e.mails, calls and messages coming in. Since mentioning about the Mayan Calendar and the predictions for 2012 I have been unindated with information from various sources. Now as I have mentioned before about co-incidence, we know that it is not real. The matter of fact is that spirit, angels or the universe(whatever you feel most comfortable with connecting to) is trying to tell us something important. When this happens I take notice and research the information that I am receiving. I also sent out to my recently deseased grandmother a method of communication that only her and myself would know. The message has been received, on more that 5 times in the past week from various sources. So I am thankful she was listening and grateful for the connection.

So over the coming weeks I will be writing a few different series. Firstly about Cancer and chronic illnesses. Kevin Day from Las Mariposas clinic recently gave a presentation about alternative treatments, so I will be highlighting those as I feel they are beneficial for all to understand and learn about. I will also be writing about the Star seed revolution, and the inter Galactic communication as well as 2012 and the Mayan Calender. So please continue to send in your questions and information that you feel is beneficial for fellow readers.

I also have some interviews with International therapists, healers, mediums, writers and muscians coming up throughout the year.
This week I continue with the second part of the Frank Arjava Petter interview. He arrives here on the 9-17 February and will be running workshops and giving talks about the History of Reiki as well as various Reiki healing methods and meditations. He will be conducting these in Alhaurine de La Torre. (Sol AndaluciHotel and Spa)

Question: As Frank had had a good grounding of meditation and healing arts behind him, I was intrigued to know "What was the distance between you taking Reiki 1 to Reiki 2 and then furthering to Reiki Master and Teacher?"

Frank Arjava Petter replied; "Chiyoko Sensei (respected teacher) as we called her, taught Reiki One and Two together on five consecutive days. This is how her teacher, Chujiro Hayashi, taught her. Chujiro Hayashi was taught by Mikao Usui who re-discovered the Reiki Energy in Japan.

She allowed me to begin the teacher’s training after two years under her guidance. Just before I finished my training she passed away in 2003, so I completed the training with her son, Tadao Yamaguchi in 2004."

There are so many off shoots of Reiki these days ,what are your feelings about
the many off shoots of Reiki, eg Angel Reiki, Wiccan Reiki, Rainbow Reiki etc...?

He replied, "We can do without most of them… During Mikao Usui ‘s time he word “Reiki” originally meant “Soul Energy”. I find it amazing that someone may think that he can improve upon that! As I said earlier, one reason for wanting to improve upon “Soul Energy” is insecurity. Another one is financial. Both are to be examined and let go of if you want to proceed on the path."

Knowing and understanding that Reiki helps to change a persons life for the highest good, I asked Arjava, How has Reiki changed your life?

He answered, "Usui Sensei Reiki called Reiki “ The secret art of inviting happiness, the spiritual medicine for all illnesses”. This is exactly what it has done to me; I have become happy and content with what is happening inside and outside of myself. In the first part of my life- before I met Reiki- I revolved exclusively around myself. Reiki has shown me love and compassion…"

This is Frank Arjava Petters first visit to Spain and Analucia. so I asked Frank "What are your aims and reasons for coming to Spain? Why have you waited until now to connect with the source in Andalucia?"

He replied, "Reiki is my boat. Wherever it takes me, I go. I don’t know why the wind did not blow this way before, but I feel it in my hair now…"

Celestial events and our human existance Part 2

Celestial events and our human existance Part 2

The world leaders of governments around the world are all too aware of the changing temperatures affecting the world. 2007 saw a greater awareness globally, entering into mainstream society. Unfortunately it is being transcribed as the Global warming effects due to green house gases affecting the O zone layer. Many new taxes, and going green, are additional ways to make money for governments as well as steering the truth away from the facts. The world is actually going through an evolutionary cycle. This happens every 20,000 years.
If we take a look at the world 20,000 years ago, when volcanos were erupting and tsunamis created extensive flooding, was it because there was an over usage of gases affecting the o zone layer?
I think not.
Obviously it does not help matters. Going green is beneficial for clearer air and healthier lifestyles, but it wont stop a volcano erupting or an earth quake shaking a city. Nature has a law of its own and timing is the law of the universe. Everything has its own timing. I feel we have to learn to accept this. Respect for mother earth is also important. I feel we need to look at new ways in which we can work with the forces of nature instead of against them.

What is the Arctic seed vault?
Norway is starting the construction of a "doomsday vault" in the arctic which will be able to house all known varieties of the worlds crops, This is being dug into the mountainside of Svalbard, 1000km from the north pole, to safeguard all crops in the face of a global catastrophe. Interestingly more than 100 countries have backed the project, The countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland sealed the project in June 2006. This building is one of the most secure in the world with steel air lock doors, motion detectors and Polar bears guarding the main enterance.
The vaults purpose is to safe guard the survival of crop diversity in the event of plant epidemics, nuclear war, natural disasters and climate change, It would also give the world an opportunity to re-start and re-build itself after many have been wiped out. The seeds will be kept within vaults of minus 18c. The seeds at this temperature can last hundreds or even thousands of years, Even if the cooling system fails, the temperature inside the mountain retains a temperature to conserve the seeds. The project is run by The Global Crop Diversity Trust. From september 2007 the Vault started to accept seeds from countries around the world. The "bank" is said to accept around 3,000,000 different types of seeds.

World Re-location.
With the effects of Climate change and the evolution process, should the governments of today, focus more upon the re-location of individuals. There are growing conserns over the Indonesian and surrounding areas.The most recent volcanic activity was on January 20th at the Krakatau Volcano where an ash plume reached 2.5km in altitude.There have been an estimated 700-900 volcanic tremors recorded daily. Tourists and fishermen have been advised to stay away from the Island. More volcanic activity and earthquakes are affecting this region than ever before. Other Volcanos that have erupted this month are in Russia, Ecuador, Columbia, Paua New Guinea, Hawaii, Indonesia , Mexico, and Chile. Is it not more benefical for the world leaders to look at ways of saving lives with relocating individuals.
In many ways I feel much of the re-location of African Refugees who are escaping the confines of their countries are seeking a better life, but perhaps sub-consciously they know something is about to happen.

The Cosmic Pole shift Phenomenon
It is not only planet earth that is affected . The Planet Venus is said to show an increased brightness, as has Uranus and Neptune. Jupiters magnetic field is changing and Neptunes is increasing according to the Russian Space probe Voyager 2.
One thing for sure is that the Pole shift will happen. The date of 2012 predicted by the Mayans as the "End of the world", is said to be a sure date.
Next week I will introduce you to the Pole shift and the Predictions of 2012 and the Mayan Calender.

Celestial events and our Human Experience Part 1

Celestial events and our Human Experience Part 1
2008 is a year where we as a human consciousness have to sit up and listen and really take on board what is happening within the world today.
Time is also catching up with us.
Time as we know and understand it is changing.
The universal program of events are speeding up. Life will never be the same again. We are being taught an invaluable lesson that we as a human race must adhere to or fall by the wayside. The light of humanity will be confronted by the fear and the manufactured darkness that co-exists within the outer reality of the human mind. But I feel I have to divulge a little secret.
There is no darkness.
There is only light and shade. Shade blocks out the light. Shade exists when we are in a position when we are confronted with a situation that is hard to face. But the light to the situaton is always there. It is like the Sun. The sun always shines. Even at night when we can not see it. It is still there. When a cloud passes by the sun, we can not feel the warmth and unable to see the light, but it is always there. Some people actually feel comfortated by the shade, as it provides a comfort zone. It is a safe place where their life is in limbo. Not moving in either direction, yet the light is not glowing.
We must remember that we all are light beings, even though you may not feel so, you are. You may go through life blocking out the light with clouded delusions you have about your life or experience, but know that you are light.
When people mention about the darkness of others, it is a reflection of themselves that they feel or see. It is also the conditioning of society that makes us feel that if a person is not in touch with themselves or spiritually lost, then they must be dark. This is not so. It only happens that this person is only afraid or not in touch with their own inner light . Rather than fear them, help them.
Fear feeds fear. Love releases and disolves fear.

More miracles will start to occur this year. It is important that you understand that Miracles do exist and happen every day of our lives As we continue to learn about a deeper trust in the Universe more events on a celestial level will begin to transpire.
Do you believe in Angels?
Angels do exist. They are also part of the human consciousness. An angelic belief system. Some people take on an angelic role in society. Just this week on TV1 on spanish television there was a report about a group of store holders who all donate some goods to a "Guardian angel" who distributes them to the poor and those who are less fortunate.
This is just an every day person who believes in helping other people. It gives her joy to see others provided for.

We have not got wings. We are not going to fly. But we do have a heart. The heart is accessed every day. We can learn to open our heart.
If you were to walk down the street today, just become aware of the people around you. Look at the image of a smiling child, people laughing, breathtaking scenery, a flower , the comfort of your partner as you hug and kiss, the friendships you have, the blue sky, the golden sun and so forth... place all these images into your heart. If you do this exercise each day you will find that day by day your heart will open and expand. Not only will it help you feel better about yourself but it will also help to put yourself in a better position with relating to others and your current relationship. As you feel better about yourself it creates more comfort and fulfilment with others. It also enables you to think and feel more positive about yourself as well as teaching you to access the power of living in the moment.

Higher Realms

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."
~Lao Tzu~

This week I dedicate the column ta an inspirational woman, who has inspired me to fulfil my life.
My Grandmother ,Margaret aged 95, passed to the light on the 6th January 2008.

I feel impressed to share with you her dignified strength and determination to live. My Grandmother was married for 50 years. When my grandfather, passed, my grandmother felt totally lost and found it hard to think that she could go on living her life alone. She was 70 years old. For a while she pined and lost focus on life. But it was her family, and her friends who gave her the strength to move on. Margaret, started to seek a way in which she could benefit from life. She joined a keep fit class. She continued with these classes until the age of 80. She stopped as she outlived most of the classmates as well as the instructor. Everything in moderation. She did not drink, only the odd tipple of sherry or martini. She did not smoke. She ate meat, and had a varied diet. At the age od 82 she discovered that she had Cancer of the bowel. She underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Even though at times she felt like giving up, she didnt. "Im a
tough old bird and they are not taking me away yet" was her motto. She underwent an operation on the bowel. The Cancer was removed. From here her life began to slow down, yet she remained in her own home and was determined to remain independent until the age of 90. At 90 years she considered all the implications of going into a home, yet was determined not to loose her independance. So she decided to move from her home in Hertfordshire, to Huntingdon in Camebridgeshire. She would be near to her neice and not out on a limb away from family. She sold her home and bought a new one. Incredible at that age to undergo such an upheavel. She found new friends and before long gained and active social life.

Until the last month before she passed she was and remained incredibly independent. Too independant at times, not giving in. But is that a bad thing?
The ages of today are perhaps softer and would not have the strength and determination she has shown. On occaisions in the last 20 years we had thought that time had caught up with her, only to be proved wrong. Having had Cancer, angina, heart attacks, plurecy and pnuemonia, she came back with the determination to carry on and fulfil her life.

Yet the sands of time eventually caught up with her. After a short illness, she entered hospital in middle november. She began to get weaker and spent time on oxygen. She was though determined to xmas and the new year. She made it to 2008.
This is one aspect of life that is inevitable. It happens to us all. None of us know when our time is up.
Yet often perhaps on an unconsciouss level we may know.

It is incredible yet true, but her passing has pulled the family together, re-uniting family and friends. She was very much an anchor within the family. This aspect which she enjoyed, will come together once more to celebrate her life. Rather than focusing upon a funeral as an end, I feel it as a celebration of a life and her new beginning.

We Can not escape the hand of death. It is the end of our journey here on earth. Yet I feel it is the gateway to the next dimension. To the otherside. We can not leave this earthly life until we each experience the element of death. Yet death is re-birth. I would like to feel and also visualized my grandmother re-united with my grandfather, her husband Joshua, "Dudley", her sisters, family and friends. I visualized her in the light, unconditional love. I would appreciate if you would do the same.
As you read this column today I will be attending the funeral "on wednesday 16th". Please will you send healing light and love to my family at this difficult time- Thank You.

With my Grandmother, having lived a fulfilled life, it is more accepting of her passing. It is as though we have had time to prepare. Yet it still is hard. She is no longer there at the end of the phone. Yet I know I can connect as well as knowing I am never alone. She is there watching over me and my family.

"It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and a lifetime to forget them."

Missing Girl Mijas Spain (missing children in Europe) Please help if you have any information about any of the missing persons on this site.

I wish to add a few lines to this as when I first saw the picture of Amy, I was very much impressed that the father seen on the interviews, was not her real father, a step father. This has since come to light. I also feel all is not well within the family and that Amy is not happy with the situation at home. I feel that something upset her a week or two prior to her disappearance. There is also a feeling that she is angry towards her mother or father and feel uncomfortable with them living apart, or indeed she finds it hard to cope with her step father.

In a couple of interviews the mother has stated that Amy might have run away. I feel that she has, as she is crying out for attention. I am unsure if she may have an eating disorder, but there appears to be an aspect associated with food. There is also a need for her to rebel. She carries this streak, There is an issue aimed at her mother. She blames her for something.

I feel amy requires love. She may be a lovely child and feel very sensitive yet she also feels very alone at times. There is a need through rebellion to get the attention she feels she needs at this time. There appears to have been alot of upset within the family of late and the feeliig I get is that Amy could not cope with it for much longer. It is as though whatever she said fell on deaf ears.

Dont give up hope. I feel there will be someone coming forward shortly with information as to her whereabouts.

This case seems to be getting a little strange. There have been reports that this is not the first time that amy has "run away" from home. If this is the case, then what are her reasons for doing so? If she was happy, she would not feel the need to do so...
There is also a little conflict I feel over the events of new years eve.
I have heard from some sources that Amy was at a new Years eve party in Riviera del sol, beachside. The company that she was with, were not the best people she could have chosen to be with...
Yet there are other reports that she was babysitting.
So what is the truth?
Most people these days carry a mobile phone. Surely this young girl would have had a mobile phone with her. If she had have been babysitting, then surely she would have been paid for her services, especially for new years eve. To say she had no money, I also find hard to understand.

When I meditate on the situation I also get the images of two young men, dark by appearance, maybe morrocan who may have offered her a lift or an opportuity to go out.. There is something about this image that flashes through my mind....
I also feel that her friends or someone that she knows, knows something more than is being said. There is I feel an area surrounding drugs associated with this situation.

If you wish to add comment to this please e.mail me at sacredcirclespain@yahoo.es

Amy Fitzpatrick, 15, disappeared on her way back from a friend’s house at 10 pm on January 1st, after a New Year’s Eve babysitting job nearby.

Amy had to cross from the Calypso urbanization to her home on Riviera del Sol; she was wearing a grey shell suit and a black t-shirt with the word ‘Diesel’.

Her family reported her missing the following morning at the Guardia Civil station in Mijas. The Guardia and Local Police, aided by helicopters and dogs, have been combing the area since then. A press conference is scheduled for this afternoon at 5 pm. Photos of Amy will be distributed then (we will bring them to you as soon as possible). Investigators have not ruled out any possibilities, including that this might be a voluntary run-away situation.

If you have seen her or have any information, please contact any of the following numbers: 112, 952 487 036, 062, 686 044 181 or 952 474 030.

Your comments
Hi Jason,

My sister is a friend of Amy's. We are all devastated and just hope that she is ok. She lives in Spain but comes home to Dublin a lot to visit and has stayed with us. She is a lovely, shy girl and has a lot of friends here in Clarehall who hope she returns soon.

It's been 5 days now and we are online 24/7 on msn hoping she just ran away and will log in or something. Whoever reads this, please think of her and maybe say a prayer.

Thank you

Yet another child disappears in Spain. Could there be a network, is it one person, or is it a new trend?
Too many children are disappearing.

The parents of missing girl Mari Luz Cortes, Juan Jose Cortes, left and Irene Suarez, console each other during a demonstration by neighbors in Huelva, southern Spain, Wedmesday, Jan. 16, 2008. Five year-old Mari Luz disappeared last Sunday. Posters seen in the photo are of Mari Luz.

My 15 year old boy, Evan Trembley, is missing.
He has been missing since 20 September 2007.

Maybe if everyone passes this on, someone will see this child.
That is how the girl from Stevens Point was found by circulation
of her picture on tv. The internet circulates even overseas,
South America , and Canada etc.
Please pass this to everyone in your address book.
With GOD on his side he will be found..

'I am asking you all, begging you to please
forward this email on to anyone and everyone
you know, PLEASE.

It is still not too late. Please help us. If anyone
knows anything, please contact me at:
HelpfindEvanTrembley@yahoocom
I am including a picture of him.

All prayers are appreciated! ! '

It only takes 2 seconds to forward this.

If it was your child, you would want all the help you could get!!

Spiritual Healing and Reiki

Saint Germain

There are often questions from potential clients who wish to receive, spiritual Healing and not Reiki. Well what is the difference between Reiki and Spiritual Healing? Why do most Spiritual Healers embark upon courses of Reiki and then only use the name of Reiki but practise spiritual Healing?
Reiki is a form of Spiritual Healing. We all connect to source. The same source that all Religions connect to. The same source that all belief systems take what they feel is right for them. That source is unconditional love. The unconditional love is all around us within the universal consciousness. You may wish to call that universal consciousness, God. You may wish to call that God, Allah, Krishna, Jesus, Mother Mary. You may wish to worship an aspect of that God.It is important not to differenciate between the Gods as they are all one. The energy that we connect to as a light worker is one source. It is the universal consciousness.
Uncondtional, means what it says. If you are receiving healing you are receiving unconditional love. This is healing light from source.
The channel that you receive the energy is the vessel. That vessel may practice a way of being. Reiki not only helps the healer to help other people, but also helps them to help themselves. Reiki is channelled from source. There are many methods that can be practised as with spiritual healing. The difference is that there is little difference other than it is recommended that healers continue to work upon themselves as well as act as channels for the light. I personally studied with the Corinthian Spiritual Healers, but found that there were too many restrictions imposed on the system. I feel that if I am acting as a channel for light to help others then there should be little restricion. The energy is free, it flows. How can it flow with restriction? It is only the manifestation of demands in the material world that create restrictions and limitations. Yes there are always guidelines but there should I feel also be freedom to be at one with source and channel for the highest good of all. I work with my spiritual guides and ascended Masters who are aspects of the universal consciousness.They may be part of my former self or past lives or just an energy that I feel I have an affinity with.

Arch Angel Michael

I work with the energy of Saint Germain who works with and through me. Saint Germain helps to transmute negative energy into positive energy. He releases the past to embrace change and the future. He is the violet flame as I am the violet flame. Saint Germain works with me in many of my Reiki Workshops. Together with Arch Angel Michael who assists protection and stands for each persons own truth. Arch Angel Raphael also assists in providing healing light and development for each student and client. I can not possible forget the energies of Mikao Usui, the great Master of Reiki who re-discovered the source in the late 1800s. His energy and light runs through me to assist with the manifestation of unconditional love and light.
Love and light is often used in signing from lightworkers. Love and light should not be used lightly and I feel if you are going to use the expression, to mean what you are saying. I have known spiritual healers who have used the expression love and light and then stabbed me in the back. If spiritual Healers use the title of Spiritual Healer, then I feel they should practice that essence of spirituality. Yet I have met Spiritual Healers who are not spiritual. Far from it in fact.
There is no,one energy that is better than another. A client is drawn to an energy that they feel they connect with. Spiritual Healers are channels for unconditional love. They work with their spiritual guides that not only assist their development but also assist with the healing of the client.
Dont be dissillusioned to think that one healing source is better than another. They are equal.

Arch Angel Raphael

Reiki however is more recognised within institutions, hospitals, dentists, schools. Most Spiritual Healers embark on courses of Reiki, and call it Reiki because it is more recognised and accepted. Many of my students have been teachers. School, College and university Lecturers, Life coaches, Masseurs, Spiritual Centre organizers and owners, writers, artists and actors. I feel that the difference upon Reiki and spiritual Healing differs from the way it is taught.
Spiritual Healers are taught about protection, the chakras , aura, anatomy and physiology, attunements and practise and principles of healing. There is a 2 year course as a spiritual healer with 1 or 2 hours a week.
With a reiki practioner course it is usually taught over 2 days. Intense courses of 6-8 hours each day. Not only are you taught what Reiki is, its history and practise and principles, but also spiritual development exercises such as laughter therapy, dance and movement to enable you to become to know yourself. Reiki is also taught in 4 degrees. Reiki 1 for example is to know the practise and principles of Reiki, to know and heal thyself. The basics such as chakras, aura, anatomy and physiology, affirmations, and healing hand positions as well as attunements and empowerments are given. After a period of 21 days the student comes back to the master to revise their experiences. For some this level is the level they are happy with and dont wish to progress further. Visit my reiki site www.reiki-costa-del-sol.blogspot.com to read comments from former students.
Level 2 Reiki 2 is a course spread over 2.5 days. Once again this is an intense course. Only those students who have practised reiki 1 and wish to develop themselves and heal others tend to embark upon this course. A minimum of 3-6 months from reiki 1 to reiki 2 . On this course the students development is very much at the for front. Rather than following a distinct syllabus, the teacher takes the student into consideration to meet their needs. Symbols and mantras are taught as well as their meaning and healing vibration. Various methods are taught such as auras and healing, psychic surgery of the aura (aura cleansing) working with spirit guides, distant healing, healing the past, past lives etc.Another attunement and empowerment is given. So you can understand healing at this level is taught at a much deeper level as well as raising the vibration of the student to reach their desired potential. If you work with the energy it will work with you.

Once again a 21 day period , and students meet again to access and connect. IT IS SO IMPORTANT FOR A STUDENT TO CONINUE WITH WORKING UPON THE SELF. With spiritual healing practises this is not encouraged although it is recommended.

The World is in your hands

Depending upon the students development, many stay at this level of Reiki Practitioner. Some however choose to further themselves to the Master and Teacher levels. It must also be understood that a Reiki Master level, does not mean you are a master and better than anyone else. It is Zen. It means that you are always in a state of becoming a Master. I have also known and met spiritual healers who have taken Reiki 1,2 and Master courses and used the name and the Word Master as a way of determining their gift as a tool for power. Quote "I am a spiritual healer, but I took a Reiki course to give me credibility as Spiritual Healing is not recognised as much as Reiki. I say I do Reiki, but in fact I only do Spiritual Healing". This I have heard so many times. Whoever says this is not being true to themselves or indeed the client.

Only a Master who is dedicated enough to teach, would embark upon this course. A sense of finding the self is paramount. I do find that as I teach I learn. Each student I teach is teaching me.

So what is your view?
What is Spiritual Healing? What is Reiki? What is the difference?

Today is a beautiful day

"Anything you want to ask a teacher,ask yourself and wait for the answer in silence."

Well what does 2008 have in store for us?

As I read this column today, I hope to become inspired. My aim this year is to further develop myself so that I may become more spiritually aware of myself and my place within the Universe. For so long I have wandered through my life, searching for something better and more fulfilling. I have felt for so long that I have a gift or something more to offer to others within the world. I aim to search to discover and embrace that gift. I know it exists and is very real.
Life and daily stresses often prevent me from discovering and finding myself. Yet they do not exist. I know that blocks are only formed by mental imaging. They are formed by my past. My past has carved a distraction from my own truth.

"Just keep coming home to yourself. You are the one you have been waiting for."

I know that finding myself is a long journey. A lifetime journey. But I know I have to start somewhere. As I am continually conditioned to believe that the War in Iraq is justified, I know deep down within my heart that it is not. I know that too many lives, innocent and young lives have been lost, for another motive. The war on terror will be a long war. Why? Because there will always be someone somewhere who will seek to destroy what has been created. We are here to learn from each other. If we dont have two sides, how will we grow and learn and differ from what is good and bad?

I feel that I am breaking away from the mainstream belief system that only pharmaceutical drugs aid cancer and other chronic illnesses. As I grow and learn I become aware that mother earth is rich in providing natural cures for Cancer,AIDS and other Chronic conditions. Not only is mother earth rich in providing herbs, flowers, fruits and vegetables but also the universe provides what we ask for.

From this day forward, I am going to make 2008 a year where I project out my intentions to the Universe. I am going to ask for positive intentions to be granted. I know that if I do not ask or think with a positive thought process then I have little chance of achieving and fulfilling my dreams.

"The teacher you need is the person you are living with"

I and many of the inhabitants are seeking to change. We are seeking a new way of being. Some I know are not as fortunate as myself. I am blessed that I have been given this day. Each day is a blessing. Life is a gift. As I entered into the new year, I realized how lucky I am to be given another opportunity in entering into another year. Another day to share with those to whom I love. To those whom I am grateful and please to call my friend. To that special person/animal I share my life with.
I am going to make a conscious effort to fulfil my life and make the most of each day I am blessed to have.

What a wonderful world it is, Today is a beautiful day.

Missing Children

While so many people are out having fun, I wish you to please remember those who are not as fortunate as yourselves.

Apart from the case of Madaline McCann, I do feel we need to address the many children who are missing around the world today. Many parents can not afford to spend so much money on publicity to find their children. Let us hope that the money raised to find Madaline fund goes forward to help all children who are missing in the world, especially to those who are less unfortunate.

Please visit the link below. If you have any information on the pictures displayed please contact immediately.

The Winter Solstice Festival

The Winter Solstice Festival

You have reached this page for a reason. Reading this column today may help to change your life, or those close to you.
Remember that today is a beautiful day. A day of celebration.
Most people forget the essence of Christmas.
Rather than focus upon the Religious connotations of Christmas, I wish to focus upon the older and most celebrated reasons for spending Christmas together.

The Roman state Religion called the winter Solstice, the celebration of "Saturnalia", a festival honnoring the God Saturn.Originally this day was only celebrated on one day, the 17th December. but by 1st century BC its observation extended over a couple of days. Saturnalia was a festival of Joy, optimism and goodwill to all. Interestingly Saturnalia began on the 17th December with a ceremony in the Saturn Temple, after which a free banquet followed. People would meet in the streets greeting each other with the words, "Lo Saturnalia", a Roman equivalents being "Merry Christmas".

I feel the need to focus upon the rebirth of the Sun. We all move to sunnier climes to feel the warmth of the golden sun. So therefore it is perhaps more important to highlight the rebirth of the sun, celebrated at the modern Yule festival , otherwise known as Christmas.

Yule is the Solar festival. The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and the longest night. It tends to fall on the 20th-21st December. Yule begins on the "Mother night" and ends twelve days later, thus the origin for the twelve days of Christmas. On this day the Holly King who represents the death aspect of God, is overcome by the Oak King. He embodies the rebirth of the God. This is also referred to as the Divine child. The God invoked at this time is Frey, The Scandinavian Fertility God and deity associated with peace, prosperity, love. family togetherness and accomplishments of the past are celebrated. The traditional Yule celebrations include lighting fires, inside and outside the home. They also decorate the house with Holly, ivy, mistletoe, Bay, rosemary and branches of Box trees. The Yule log, is either Oak, pine, ask, or birch. Tradition says that the Yule log is burned when the tree is lighted. A portion of the log is saved and
used the following year in the lighting of the yule log. The piece that is kept, is used all year round to protect the home.

Many of you will be celebrating Christmas in a traditional form. But just remember your roots this Christmas, as to how it all began.

The Christmas Tree- the lights and ornaments originally symbolized the sun, moon and stars as they looked down on the tree of life. The yule tree decorations also represented the departed souls who we remember at the end of each year.The modern day gift giving originated from hanging Sacred presents on the Yule tree as offerings to Deities such as Attis and Dionysus, or to the Great Mother Goddess.

Hanging Mistletoe and Holly- The Druids consider mistletoe to be very magical and refer it to be called Golden Bough. It is also believed that Mistletoe holds great healing powers. Mistletoe also gave mortal men access to the underworld. Here is a piece of interesting after dinner talk that will enlighten your dinner guests this Christmas. In the history of the Mistletoe, it was once thought to represent the genitalia of the God Zeus. The white berries represented Zeuse s semen. In contrast the red berries of the Holly symbolized the menstrual blood of the Goddess. The life giving essence of the Mistletoe is divine substance and immortality to those who hand it at Yule. To those of you who like to kiss under the Mistletoe, the original celebration consisted of wild sexual orgies accompanied by the Great Oak God Zeus.....More Punch anybody?

I would just like to thank you all for your continued support in reading this column. Thank you for your letters, e.mails and phone calls. Thank you to all my Reiki students and clients as well as those of you who have attended healing circle meetings, development classes and presentation evenings.
Merry Christmas
To our friends
Love and Hugs

The Evolving Global Consciousness

When the power of love
Overcomes the love of power
The world will know peace.

Jimi Hendrix

The Evolving Global Consciousness

Children are the seeds of our future. I therefore feel it is so important to address the following information to all parents, teachers and elders.
We only have to look at daily events to realize that the world is changing. Changing in a physical formation. The seasons are no longer equal to 50 years ago. The demand for housing and investment has shape shifted a whole new vibration for the determination to suceed financially. The emphasis on this has begun to create a wider divide within many countries, and civilizations. The divide between the rich and the poor.
The Western world is developing at a rapid rate. I feel we are forgetting something important here.
Our Roots.

Many of the people living in todays world, are just living. They get up, go to work, go shopping come home and go to bed. What a life huh?
There is so much more to life.
Many people look so lost.,so stressed trying to meet daily demands and expectations, for who, for what?
So many people are so hard on themselves mentally and emotionally, usually with the focus upon someone else rather than themselves.
So much time is lost in the western world. So much time wasted thinking about matters that may never happen.
Still your mind. If we all stopped thinking for a moment and entered the silence. We may then receive a higher connection to the universal consciousness. Excuses about how daily life prevents this connection is just an illusion. Too many people use excuses as a way of avoiding self help and healing.

Having worked in the healing and alternative sector for some ten years now, I am all too aware of the changing attitudes within society. Yet I have worked mainly within the area where people seek the alternative lifestyle, or seek a way to change their life into a more positive role.
Recently however I have been giving more talks and presentations in bringing greater awareness and understanding of Reiki and spirituality into mainstream society. It appears that Reiki, for example, is not as universally known as I had previously thought.

In a recent presentation, literally a handful of woman had only heard of Reiki and about three out of 40 woman had actually taken a course. However, the urge to learn and understand about healing and alternative lifestyles as well as spirituality was shown. I do feel there is a need to venture out into mainstream society to spread the word of a universal connection that is available to us all.

So many people ask the question, what is life about? yet do not do anything to act upon the question.
If we take the seed of a Palm tree.It is a channel for the consciousness. It is so small. Yet when it embeds itself in the earth it grows roots. It needs the light and the universal consciousness to grow. It retains the universal knowledge to enable it to unite with the seasons and other trees. We are like seeds. We come to earth, and we are channels for light. Yet until that time comes that we learn to ground ourselves and connect with the universal consciousness, we dont know who we are.

The story of Madaline McCann- latest update autumn 2008

The appearance of Madeline Mccann 21st /12 /2007

Incredible, but true.
Madaline McCann once again appeared to me in a dream.
This time she was in a house. I was aware of the white painted walls within the house.
There was a book case with many books. This appeared to be relevant.
The book case was below a stair case or near it.
The book case moved, sliding along to the side baring a false wall.
Behind the wall was Madaline.

So perhaps her remains have been placed behind a false wall?
Or that she is alive and well behind a wall?
Or is it symbolic that many books have been written about her whereabouts?

Within the dream she re-appears around Christmas time. Yet in the dream it comes to light that this was not the first time she had disappeared. Apparently in the dream she comes across as playful and denotes that she had gone missing before.
There is also some discomfort between her and her parents, some control issue.

But within the dream she is not united with her parents. She denotes that her appearance is more of an apparision as opposed to an actual living form.
So whether it is at this time that a discovery is made.....

More messages and dreams as they are received....

Autumn 2008
I feel I have to re-address the senario surrounding the case of Madaline McCann. It appears to be the page that is most visited by people who connect to this blog. It appears that anyone who speaks out of turn in the face of drawing a conclusion that the McCann family had anything to do with the case, they face a court case that creates a payout of money.

I felt from the beginning a spaced out sensation. Either she was drugged as she was kidnapped, so as not to alarm anyone. Or however there was an accident.

I remain with the same images in my dreams. They do not alter or change. I see Madaline behind a staircase of books. Does this mean that her life was an example and many created and wrote books about her disappearance, or does it foretell that she remains in a cupboard under the stairs, in front, a bookcase that hides her where abouts.

I also see a bearded man. There are also images of barren landscape. There are dogs, but not sure if this means a search or someones pets.

I also see veils hanging down in front of her. She runs back and forth. In a recent visitation, I heard her crying for her mommy. Cries "Mommy,mommy". In many ways I feel she is between two worlds. In that, she could be hidden yet alive without her former charateristics. Her identity changed and transformed.
What are the reasons she cries for her mommy?

Another feeling is that she resides in the Astral level. She has not ascended to the light. She feels as though she can not leave. In many ways because her parents feel that she is still alive, she feels she can not leave.Something, someone is keeping her here on a spiritual level. Only when her parents let go, can she be freed, to ascend to the light.

I dont understand that she has not been found with all the knowledge and technology. DNA samples and high tech equipment surely would bring forth someone who is responsible for this. So much has been spent on finding her yet nothing found. There are so many talented mediums, who so too have not been brought into the search for Madaline- Why?

Missing children
Many children who go missing, often run away. A high percentage are also involved in a bitter connection with parents or a family member is involved with the disappearance. Then some fall victim to the luring of individuals who prey upon the innocent.

Where is Madeline McCann?
Her where about has swept the world with intrigue and disbelief.
But why, this little girl, when there are thousands of children disappearing each day. What makes this child so different?
I find it a little disturbing that so much money has been collected, then misused.
Many famous people and entrepreneurs have collaborated in finding Madeline. But why not other children that go missing. Why is this child so special?
If I go to the initial gut reaction when I first heard about the story, my gut response said there was a connection to the parents. We had a development circle and focused upon the proposed events surrounding the little girl. Each one of us connected to the same aspect. It was as though the little girl was in limbo. Between two worlds.There was also an association of secrecy and a veil of deceit hanging over the situation. I felt as did others that the limbo feeling was as though spaced out, or under an influence of some drug or other combination. There was also an image of a fall, accidental. It would appear as previously thought that there was an aire of panic due to responsibility and positions of the jobs held by the parents.
One aspect I find hard to comprehend here, is why did the parents first contact the government, family and the press in the UK before contacting the Portuguese police?
Why was the Priest in UK and Portugal contacted, when at the time they were not devout Catholics?
Why would two responsible people in positions of authority act in such a irresponsible manner?
If they thought that the apartment was a risk for potential break-ins, surely they would not consider leaving three children alone in the house.
How would a parent act if they found it missing?
The way they acted, they would have lost valuable time in searching for the child, if it was missing.

I feel just looking at the parents and interviews with the grandparents that there is a veil of deceit here or something is being hidden,or untold.

If anything comes to light on this, I feel a scapegoat will be found, if not it will just go down in the record books of one of the Worlds unsolved mysteries.

You would think, with all the knowledge and DNA that someone can be found responsible for this. Unfortunately people are making money out of this.The whole thing is kept alive by media. There is always hope that she will return.
Why would the parents ask the "kidnappers" to treat her like a princess, rather than ask for their child back. Any footage I have previously seen parents are pleading for the return of their child in emotional states,but with maddies parents there appears to be the hard exterior.
Is it their profession that makes them like that?
Doctors are conditioned not to show their feelings.
Whatever transpires, the parents and friends need to live with this for the rest of their lives. Only they know the truth. Many times in meditations have seen veils.

Firstly when I tune in to the energy associated with Madeline, I feel she is in Spirit.She is an old soul and has a strong connection to the angelic realm. There are many feelings and emotions surrounding her and if anything she is helping to awaken a new consciousness within mankind, in the essence of feelings and emotions. I also feel that there were tense emotions surrounding her passing. Yet it is important that she remains protected. It appears as though we are not meant to know circumstances, yet just accept that she has passed. She is however protected in spirit. No one can harm her. The parents however carry the burden of knowing yet remain behind the veils of secrecy that surround this.

Have your vote. Is Madaline McCann alive?
or is Madaline McCann in Spirit?

The seed of Life

This week I dedicate the column to two special women. Firstly to Brenda Lewis, who sadly passed to the light on 29th November 2007. Please see her enveloped within a healing bubble of light where she now floats within the light of eternal peace. Secondly please send healing to Pat, who saw Brenda as a mentor. Pat embarked upon a Reiki course to help Brenda. Brenda has now left Pat with a unique gift to share with the world. Please send healing and love to Pat so she can come to terms with this sad loss as well as heal her recent injured wrist.

Continued from Last week... Part 2

As I mentioned last week, the similarity between us , the human race and the seed of the tree are in fact so similar. We are all channels for light as is the seed from a tree. However as I have previously explained within other articles, the first three years of a childs life are so important. We live in a world where there are conditionings, problems, fears, feelings to face. The first three years, a child soaks up every available information like a sponge. A child has not learned to defend itself or protect its energy field. Therefore memories and experiences cause blockages within this channel of light. Also because we are not conditioned to believe that we are light beings, but human beings, the sight and healing touch is often lost.

Just an important message here too. Even when your child is within the womb, it soaks up information fromn the mother. The feelings and emotions the mother experiences often has a profound affect upon the life of the child that she is bringing into the world. There have been reported cases of regression where, no recollect in the human life has been noted, but regression to the womb, the feelings associating to the mother often come to light. Failing this some regressions are taken back into previous lifetimes where memories stored are brought forward. ( A later subject).

As we grow into our child years the conditionings of parents, teachers and elders has the effect upon how we should behave. How to conduct oneself when facing fears, dealing with guilt, stress of course plays a major part in blocking the light. Soon as we enter adulthood, the memory that we came into the world, the inner knowledge of being a light being is lost. There are however, many sensitive young children who do retain the knowledge that they are connected to a source, to a light so powerful, yet do not understand why. This again is due to the commercial western grooming of society. We need to reach back to our roots. To our Pagen past.

It is usually at a time in life when so many upheavels have been faced. Death appears and takes away a love or an association that is missed so much. A need to reconnect to that essence draws one closer to the light. Illness too also connects us all to something greater than we are conditioned to believe. Yet as Pat "above" experienced. It was someone special who crossed her path. Pat started to change her life to help another. Pat has discovered that inner light that she was born with. Often it will be a person or circumstance that will cross your path that will become the Catalyst for your re-connection to the light.

symbols and sound

Healing and symbols continued...
I carried out an exercise with some students the other day. I asked them to place images of Reiki symbols under their pillows before they went to sleep. I asked them to become aware of any energy associated with them. This they tried prior to the workshop, so they could learn the symbols and mantras associated with them. Interestingly they did not really feel anything or very little.
However when they were attuned to the energy of the symbols, the power and the light magnified intensely and they felt an enormous difference. They felt a connection to the symbol and the energy. Each of the three symbols, carry different vibrations.Through empowerments and meditation they were able to feel the differing vibrations associated with each symbol.
It therefore shows that unless you have an initiation or meditative course indeveloping the connection to a symbol, the symbol will not work. And as with Hitler using a spiritual symbol as a tool for power, had the opposite affect as the power turned against him in the end.

I feel one has to be very careful when working with symbols and energy. The utmost respect must be shown to a hidden energy source thatresides within the world today.

We can also assume that sound is also a symbol of vibration. Mantras are often associated with symbols. Within Reiki symbols for example there are mantras that co-incide with each symbol, therefore creating a vibration. I feel that this week I have to speak about the energy vibration of sound and how the connection with a higher frequency of sound can connect us to the vibration of spirit and ascended masters as well as the angelic realms.

Going back to the cross I spoke about last week, prayer, or a hymn is often associated with the cross. The Kabbalah also has various mantras that are associated with the tree of life symbol. Group incantations are often said within the opening of a circle using the pentagram.So you are able to make a connection and work with the energy associated with the symbol you are connecting to. Perhaps the best way and more successful way to connect is through meditation .

Last week I received the same message from three different directions. The first, I was told about an argentinian man who works with energy, numbers and tibetan singing bowls. He heals through the vibration of sound. We have agreed to meet later next month. The following day I received an e.mail from a young woman who forwarded an e.mail about Tom Kenyon. He is an international sound healer who was running a workshop using the Tibetan singing bowls. What a co-incidence I thought. The next day I received another e.mail inviting me to a closed circle. An international medium of Trance and healing, Gyan Devereaux was performing a meditation and trance demonstration, using the connection with the power of sound, through the use of the Tibetan singing bowls. Understanding that three is the magic number, I booked a couple of places for this event.

Taken into a deep relaxed state, we all listened to the distant sound of the vibration of the singing bowls. Incredible as they connect the higherself to a new state of consciousness enabling the crown and third eye to connect to the awareness of spirit energies.
We all felt alot of peace. The energy I felt created an energy field that the spirits felt a greater connection to the medium.
We witnessed the medium overshadowed by spirit with her face changing and taking on the form of the spirit she was channeling information from.

It is not only through the power of sound that we can make the connection to the spirit world, or for the soul development of our being.
The singing bowls provide a state of deep relaxation. I would recommend any course, workshop or event that intergrates the healing vibration of the singing bowl.

A while back I embarked upon a course to connect with my soul in a medative state and then paint it on canvas creating a mandala. Before the meditation began, we chanted mantras associated with the kotodama, another Reiki practice that uses the healing symbols as a mantra for meditation. It is rarely used in todays practises of Reiki. Kotodama actually translates as "spirit words". Mantras in Japanese are said to raise the vibration to new heights of consciousness.
The Kotodama is usually taught to students at the master level of their training.

I do feel it is important to stress that any information you read on the internet or within books, should not be used until there has been a course of training. Energies are very powerful and can invoke and change vibrations. All healing practises require courses of learning before using symbols and mantras. Symbols are placed into society to create a portal, a spiritual doorway to a new vibrational level.

The symbol of Om, is now found within mainstream society. It may be an imprint as a design logo on a t-shirt, or furnishing. Buddhas have become a focal point within many households as well as water fountains creating an aire of peace and tranquility. The symbol om is also often found upon these . But what does the word om actually mean? You may have some meditation music and listened to the mantras, but do you understand the mantra sound and its meaning?

Firstly Om is pronounsed AUM. It is the symbol of the absolute.It means that it represents the manifestation and unmanifestation of God. This encompaseses all possibilities and potencials that exist within the universal consciousness. Om is the sound and vibration that connects us to the thoughtless state of mind.It enables us to free ourselves from the tensions of life as well as connecting us to the very core of our being. When one focuses upon the word om and begins with the mantra, all outside thoughts disappear as the consentration and focus of AUM takes over.
Firstly the letter A emerges from the throat but beginning its course from the navel or the dantien point.
The letter U rolls off the tongue
and M ends on the lips.
Therefore it can also be explained as A= waking, U= dreaming and M= Sleeping.

Om or AUM Shanti is another mantra that is often used. This means and translates to Absolute Peace.
AUM is often used before other mantras.

So we can see that a symbol, does not have to be a shape, a solid shape. Om/Aum takes on the form of a lettering and a meaning yet is seen as a symbol to create a vibration through the power of mantras.

Mantras assist the focus of the energy of a symbol. If for example you were say looking at the symbol of the Star of DavId. You may try to connect to the energy that it manifests, yet finding it difficult, the shopping list and tonights dinner pos into your head as well as all worrying thoughts. Yet if you were to use the mantra of AUM, together with the symbol of the star of David, it would help to train your mind in becoming more focused and connecting to the neregy of the manifestation.

More next week.....
Please keep your e.mails and letters coming in.
